calls for Jihad to defend our selves is self defense is an evil act? bring me the Surah who invites us to make genocides (not those who call for Jihad as a self defense) when a war is launched you cannot sit watching without defending yourself you are obliged to fight also...this is the call to Jihad in the Quran...The difference being that one can examine the context and application of both the NT and the Quran. When doing so one finds a call to self-sacrifice, and forgiving enemies, loving neighbors who believe differently, as demonstrated by Jesus in his ministry, his death on the cross, and his resurrection.
The Quran paints a different story altogether. With abrogation in the Medinan Quran, we find 29 calls to Jihad in the first 10 seras alone. We find calls to wipe out (genocide) entire villages. We find the call to make people submit at the point of the sword.
We find an uneducated Muhammed with multiple wives having one at the age of 9.
Now one can go the route the RCC has gone and suggest that Islam started there but has changed it traditions and evolved into a "religion of peace," due to the jurists.
I'm not opposed to that approach, but it is not the one you have chosen. And the only way to analogize the NT and the Quran is if one's audience is ignorant of one or both texts.

Captured women were passed out like party favors to his men, some of whom were then passed along to others. This passage tells of Muhammad giving women as sex slaves to the three men who would become his successors, the future caliphs Umar, Uthman and Ali:
The apostle gave Ali a girl called Rayta; and he gave Uthman a girl called Zaynab; and he gave Umar a girl whom Umar gave to his son Abdullah. (Ibn Ishaq/Hisham 878)
Allah gave Muslim men a divine mandate to keep as many sex slaves as they wished (Quran 4:24,33:52…).

It lets them know that they are of lesser value in Allah's eyes. It also affirms that Jihad means "holy war" not a spiritual struggle.
Quran (8:67) - "It is not for a Prophet that he should have prisoners of war until he had made a great slaughter in the land..."
Quran (47:3-4) - "Those who disbelieve follow falsehood, while those who believe follow the truth from their Lord... So, when you meet (in fight Jihad in Allah's Cause), those who disbelieve smite at their necks till when you have killed and wounded many of them, then bind a bond firmly (on them, i.e. take them as captives)... If it had been Allah's Will, He Himself could certainly have punished them (without you). But (He lets you fight), in order to test you, some with others. But those who are killed in the Way of Allah, He will never let their deeds be lost." Those who reject Allah are to be killed in Jihad. The wounded are to be held captive for ransom.

There in the house I saw some ansari women who said, "best wishes and Allah's blessing and a good luck." then she entrusted me to them and they prepared me (for the marriage). Unexpectedly Allah's apostle came to me in the forenoon and my mother handed me over to him, and at that time I was a girl of nine years of age. source

I didn't get what you are saying can you explain more??? we should always seek the truth is that what you are saying??he is a great prophet of arabia/persia for his time, but we need to continue with the process of seeking the true God and His righteousness, none of the true Prophets advised us to stop seeking the true One, but on the contrary, we have to seek Him and His righteousness until there is full salvation for all the world, or if any of our dear(est) people is still unsaved, can we say they don't need salvation?!, the father of our enemy is also a dear father for his son, and his son is also a dear son for him, let's remember the case with oedipus the king, how he killed a man and used his wife to sleep with her, and regretted having done so only after he realized they are his own father and mother - such a hypocrisy has killed/ruined many since the day of the Fall

Now the false teacher, having been offered righteousness, receives the hell fire (Revelation 19:20).
i see Jesus and Muhammad as spiritual/religious innovators, and their message as 'seek what is better for people until everyone is saved/provided with abundant and eternal life', i.e. we should also walk the path of innovation, and in my opinion every better thing is an innovation, the greater mercy is an innovation, the greater forgiveness is an innovation, etc. - this is one of the reasons why Jesus says:
John 14:12 "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father."
