Who IS Paulo?

Here are some theories I've read. What do you think?

Theories: -

Paulo could be an Other. He hasn't appeared on the first 69 days on the island, and will take a major role on this season, so he could have been other spy gathering information, or an Other present on the plane.

- Paulo could be Jacob; that way, he would have gathered information from the survivors and made a list, the one Pickett talks about.

-Or, he could be just another survivor like Art or Rose.

There is something about Paulo that reminds me of Patchy. I can't put my finger on it, but that would blow my mind - and explain why I don't like him much!

I just cant see him being to interesting. I know the girl seems popular with male fans (she has two large plus points aparently lol) but she is still a bit pointless to me as well.

I hear they are going to reveal a gay character. Maybe it's Paulo. He and Nikki are best friends traveling the world together. And Nikki is going to get killed tonight and Paulo will fall into the arms of Desmond. Hehehe.
