I have a question about something in the book of Genesis in the creation account.

I want to know what the woman's name is.

I do not believe it is EVE. I believe it is ishish or Isis. and the man's name is Adam.

when i looked in a hebrew lexicon, the name eve meant evil, not woman.

when i looked up the word woman, i got ishish

so if anyone can read hebrew for me i would greatly appreciate a translation of the genesis creation account from hebrew to english word for word if that is not asking too much

A woman is Isha because a man is Ish.

Adam is the word used for human kind, and is also the first man to be created's name

The man's name is A'dam - meaning ruddy or earthy
The woman's name is Khava or Chava - meaning life or living

Where do you get the idea that "the evil one's name" is Khava??

I did a search for the word evil in Hebrew and of the 12 words that came back none were "eve" or Khava.
