At times I envy people without children. Although I love my children and wouldn't want to be without them, (for very long, LOL), they can be quite a handful. I love being a wife and mother, but that isn't for everyone. I'm sorry others have made you feel strange.

I think it is more of why don't u have kids kinda thing. It is a southern thing I guess.

I'm the only one of ten grandchildren who isn't married and doesn't have kids. I'm also one of the oldest. You wanna talk about strange looks?

I don't have children, but it hasn't been because I didn't want any. It seems that the Lord has other plans for me. Yes, at 39, I feel like my biological clock is more than just ticking...it's been ringing for a long time. I've always wanted to be a mother, but it just hasn't worked out that way...

I know how you feel Oblivious. Not maternal in the slightest, just get irritated. Yet I love teaching Sunday School to 7-12yr olds. Work that one out!!

Yes, I do now that I'm 30. The sound has moved from tick-tock tick-tock to DING DONG DING DONG. But timing is everything and it doesn't feel like now is the time.

My wife and I don't have any children together. She has two grown daughters from a previous marriage. My wife cannot have children due to having a hysterectomy...we did consider adopting a foster child once but it fell through.

I had my first when I was 35!! It was awesome.
But.... people would always ask.. when are you having kids? Don't you want kids?
I think it's kinda personal and it's everyones decision when/if they have kids.
