I had my first when I was 35!! It was awesome.
But.... people would always ask.. when are you having kids? Don't you want kids?
I think it's kinda personal and it's everyones decision when/if they have kids.

I feel encouraged when I read your posts. I was beginning to feel "left behind in the slow lane" especially since my 30th birthday.

I would love to have had kids by now but it's up to God if and when I do have any.
It's not unusual when people find out my age for them to ask why and even assume I don't want any because if I did they assume I would have done so by now.

I dont have kids and have no desire to have any now. Neither does my fiancee though I love kids...never had the paternal bug I guess. I have lots of nephews and neices though so I love them as if they were mine...but I get to give them back afterwards.

I was reading this thread adn thought wow there are other woman out there who dont have children in their thirties. I am 39 and although my situation is not by choice. I was unable to have chilcren and its so hard sometimes to say "i cant have children" and everyone seems like they want to ask! Anyway gald to know i amnot alone....Many blessings to you all

I don't have children either. Yes the clock is going crazy but it's all in God's time. People are always asking do I have kids and when I say "no," they are like, "why not?' and I'm like, "cause I'm not married yet?" And they are like "girl just go on and have a baby!" And I'm like "umm I really don't think God would be too thrilled about that." Yeah it gets tiresome.

My husband and I have been married for six years. I'm 31 and he's 40. We've never wanted children. We both like kids, but we've never desired to have children of our own.

So many people ask personal and inappropriate questions. I used to really let it get under my skin, but after a few years, you get over it.

The worst is when someone tries to convince me that I'm eventually going to change my mind.

What bothers me is people who don't stop to think before they question why you haven't got children, they don't stop to think that maybe one can't have children. Not every couple hasn't got children by choice.
