  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Isn't annihilation? Really?

You take a cardboard box and burn it what is left...ashes...(Is it still a box) of course not! The box is gone.. What is left is the very basic material in which the box was originally made of...earth...just as man dies and he returns to dust...it is no longer a man or any resemblance of...just the matter from which he was originally made from....

so annihilation? Yes, he is gone... Mal 4:1 speaks of a time when all the wicked shall be no more..."For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yes, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that comes shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch."

A box when it is burned up has neither root nor branch as well..just ashes...just earth and nothing more...until that material is used to make something else....

Continue with verse 3 "And you shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the Lord of hosts."

So are they annihilated? Certainly...they will be no more...not even a resemblance...just a pile of matter that is earthly....

When a pile of trash, limbs, boards and other material are burned, do you know what they were...nope, because what they were is now just basic elements once again...
Annihilation leaves no trace to be found much like evaporating water.

and neither does burning something up to the basic elements to which it was previously....so bottom line it is completely destroyed...the body would be destroyed, gone etc...it would have no root or branch...just like when i burned the pile of trees out in the yard...a couple of years have gone by and there is no remnant of even the ashes...the grass and other living things were able to use those elements to further their growth...even though there was once a pile of trees there...there is no evidence of this anymore...

Not sure if you got your questions answered but

Isaiah 9:6
For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

is one evidence that Jesus was the Father ("same individual for lack of a better expression" [just in case]).

One can walk on ash. I love to see anyone walk on vapor. So far no one but Jesus has even walked on water - a squishy solid. Hey I've skied on water.

Have you read Luke 1:35?
