I don't see how where this is particularly relevant. I read the first edition of the Tanakh, JPS 1917, which was heavily annotated. The most common footnote was this *Hebrew uncertain. They also included a significant number of emendations which were omitted in later editions. What is just as relevant is that Rabbinic scholarship was applied to translating Hebrew to Greek a couple of centuries before Christ, which was to some degree functional to "the fullness of time" in presenting the Gospel to the world. I am not ready to discount their work based on some inconsistences in regards to Methusalah. Inerrancy requires enlightened comprehension much more than penmanship.Lay it to Heart - The Septuagint is Incorrect
