"Suspects resided in multiple states, including Texas, Utah, Idaho, Colorado, South Dakota, Illinois, Arkansas, Wyoming, Washington, Oregon and Virginia, he said."

It seems pretty clear it was not spontaneous. Which means there are probably communications that will help flesh out their (luckily thwarted) intentions.

This is shocking since "white supremacy" is a leftist boogeyman.
It’s almost as if some people will say anything to deny the existence of white supremacy enthusiasts.

Someone may have heard something. To their credit they changed the name of their protest event to tone down the violent rhetoric. It would be to their greater credit if they were part of the many tips given to police in the run-up to the event.

The Panhandle Patriots, a local motorcycle club, had planned a “Gun d’Alene” event on the same day as Pride in the Park to “go head to head with these people,” an organizer said in April during an appearance with state Rep. Heather Scott (R).

The organizer was not identified by name in a video but wore a vest bearing the alias “Maddog” and the insignia of the Panhandle Patriots group. He lamented that the Pride gathering would be “allowed to parade through all of Coeur d’Alene,” saying that “a line must be drawn in the sand” against such LGBTQ displays. Scott did not immediately respond to a request for comment from The Post late Saturday.

In a news release posted on the group’s website, the Panhandle Patriots encouraged the community to “take a stand” against the LGBTQ “agenda.” It also suggested without evidence that “extremist groups” were trying to hijack the event to provoke violence and said the group would change its event name to “North Idaho Day of Prayer” in response.

Oh, also found in the truck along with the riot gear:

documents “similar to an operations plan that a police or military group would put together for an event.”

Interesting white face covers. Perhaps they couldn't afford the whole sheet? Unmask these bigots and show the world who they are. Cowards.

Unsubstantiated on-the-ground scuttlebutt: "cops said that they got arrested because of the feds in their group chats."
Anything this coordinated had to have been a tip off by one of the larger agencies.

Good to see they’re taking domestic terrorism seriously.

No idea. It will be memory holed when the next shiny distraction comes along.

You seemed awfully well-informed about matters in post #15. Now all of a sudden you know nothing? Well, anyway.

If one of these people is convicted, and I provide evidence, will you declare that I am the bodaciousest person ever?

This notion about the Patriot Front being "feds" is well circulated on certain parts of the internet. It seems to stem from the fact that their "uniform" of a plain blue polo shirt and khaki pants looks a lot like the "casual uniforms" used by many federal police agencies (as opposed to formal police-like uniforms and the famous FBI plain suit-and-tie look). PF has certain minimal physical fitness requirements, just like police agencies, that keep its young (20s and 30s) membership appearing not outside the range for federal officers.

But, PF is a right-wing extremist group. They train for combat (though when video of their training leaked their tactics were poor) and attempt to maintain a secrecy discipline through the use of pseudonyms of the form [Male name] [State postal abbreviation] that do not match their actual identities. They parade in public with their faces covered in identical outfits and travel to and from the starting points of their marches in rented moving trucks.

The founder and leader is known as a former leader in another far-right group that fell apart after the Charlottesville rally. A hack of their servers have allowed anti-hate researchers to begin assembling membership lists and some photo IDs. When any are identified they are never "feds" and some were known members of other hate groups.

Other than their unpermitted parading and illegal transport methods (it is not legal to transport people in the back of a truck.) PF crimes are largely related to vandalism and graffiti of displays they don't like (racial unity, George Floyd memorials, pride murals and banners, etc.) and hanging banners on freeway overpasses.
