Politically, if there is a Center, then on either side is leaning to the Right or to the Left for anyone, even if slightly either way.
After voting, elaborate in comments, if you wish.

Ever so slightly to the right; I believe in conservative liberalism, which means I tend toward conservative social politics and liberal economic ones.

Essentially, I’m an abuse victim advocate in political terms. Conservative social policy encourages healthy marriages and stable relationships for children, thus reducing abuse and trauma in the first place, while liberal economic policies give abuse victims access to more resources to escape their situations and deal with trauma symptoms. Giving an abuse victim an EBT card can make a huge difference if their parent or spouse is trying to starve them to death or give them bad food, for example.

On the other hand, it would be better if we all had jobs, so I still lean right. I would like to see the church pick up the slack of helping people instead of the government, without interrogating people in need or forcing them to go through awkward conversations just to get a food or gas card.

My principles and values are pretty far left on social, environmental, and economic issues.

Politically, though, I'm also pragmatic. If we try a program or policy to address some problem, we should assess it after a few years and change it if it isn't working well. I also believe that it's better to work with the opposing party to find compromises where everyone gets part of what they want, rather than making grand, unbending speeches and everyone getting nothing of what they want.

I lean a bit left in some things, way left in some others, a bit to the right in a few, and way right in others. I fit once upon a time with the Democrats, but that went sour. I then fit with the Republicans, and that was good while it lasted. They accepted my environmentalism and union leanings and never tried to shut me down like the Democrats did. When Trump came along, I went into exile. My current affiliation is ... well ... I'm waiting for the American Solidarity Party to actually launch. It's about like I am, not in lockstep with the left or the right.

There are bricks (everybody equal) and there are stones (everybody unequal.) There is no middle ground or center, but there are lots of confused people. You only end up with bricks by force.

Today, we see the left as the brick people and the right as the stone people. I am a stone person.

on things like abortion and fiscal responsibility I am right. But on things like justice and equality I am left.
The "woke" issues seem to be a litmus. I am all for respect, dignity, inclusion and acknowledgement of the evils we have perpetrated when it comes to racial and sexual issues. But, transgender access to bathrooms and sports team needs some common sense.

I’d probably put myself somewhere in the middle, but if I had to pick, I lean a little left on social issues and a little right when it comes to finances. For example, I’m all for personal freedoms and equal rights, but I also think budgets and spending need to be handled responsibly. I guess it really depends on the topic, I don’t fit neatly into one side.

I don't consider myself to be in the center; I'm apolitical.

I realized maybe a year or two ago that it's not just one party that is corrupt, but both of them.

I'm not interested in debating with others what I'm going to say, but I believe the 2020 Presidential Election was stolen, and it was never resolved. So I believe other elections are rigged too. Why vote if your vote doesn't count?

It's not left/right. It's also libertarian/authoritarian. So a 2-dimensional matrix at least.

Well, there's always the Political Compass, a 2D measure that graphs both of these. (The Political Compass)

Their quiz puts me in the middle of the left/libertarian quadrant, which feels about right.

Would you be more interested if your choices were more than just D or R?

Right of Center.
  • Pro-Fetal rights puts me to the Right.
  • Opposing the depathologization of gender dysphoria also puts me to the Right.
  • As a disabled parent of disabled children, I am for a minimalist "safety net" which pushes me more toward Center.

"Giving an abuse victim an EBT card can make a huge difference if their parent or spouse is trying to starve them to death or give them bad food, for example."
I would guess in most cases where a parent/spouse is trying to starve an abuse victim to death/give them bad food, that is would be hard for the person to even get access to something like the card you suggest. They may be so watched it would be almost impossible. Plus if they would get out to shop, getting items into where they live would be tricky if this is happening to them. There may be such tight restrictions overall.
