Why do graphics matter so much to so many folks? I thought that gameplay was the thing to look for primarily.

I mean, I remember when systems had 4 and 8 bit graphics and people still enjoyed them.

Meh, just something I'm wondering. Pay me no mind. I don't want to derail this thread.

True, graphics don't matter to a game's fun factor at all, but in this day in age, it's unexcusable not to have good graphics and the speed to run them.

However, this thread is not to see which console has the best games and by extension is the best console, that's what fanboys do. Vote based on which console is the best on pure body work and performance.

Xbox is best i think, but in my dorm building , the PC and Medal of Honor is coming into existance

ok first of all xbox aint powerfull. but its alot better than that ps2 thing. if u want to play gd games use a pc. fps's jus dont work with a gamepad. the halo series isnt very gd in my elite opinion. halflife2 pWns it. ps2 is jus obselete these days. psp is gonna be gd tho.. gamecube is cool, i like it. havent used ds.

The problem I have with PC is there's too much updating and money involved in updating and making sure your computer is adaptable with this, that, and the drivers are working, and if you've got a good enough card for this, that, and the other thing... My computer is pretty much useless for most high-end games. I'd rather not worry about that kind of thing. I'd prefer using it to surf the net and to write.

Consoles I like more because you know they're compatable with the games for them, and you just put them in and away you go. No worries.

I dunno - I saved up the money and bought them all. Who cares which is best when you can play ANY great game that comes out?

To me, the console wars are just old and repetitive by now. Everyone claims their system is the best, "hands down," when the fact of the matter is that it all depends on the player's interests. I can assure you that RPG players don't think Xbox is the best, they love PS2. Sports/Action game fans will go for the Xbox. Fans of excellent long-running game series' like Metriod, Mario, Zelda, and so on will go for the Cube.

Each system has its strengths, and each has its weaknesses. Go with what ya like, but don't tell people that your system is THE best just cause you like it the best. They may like different things.
