  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hmm.

I side 90% with Green Party

I side with the Green Party on 90% of issues. Despite being a dyed-in-the-wool socialist, I only came out 76% siding with them. Mind you, I tended to leave the level of importance at "somewhat" on most things, which might have skewed things a bit.

Even so, whenever I take these quizzes I tend to be Green.

I can only assume the 4% to which I side with the Republicans is down to not believing in evolution. Hey ho...

I side 90% with Democrats on economic, immigration, healthcare, environmental, social, science, and domestic policy issues

85% with Green Party on healthcare, immigration, environmental, science, domestic policy, and social issues

63% with Socialist on healthcare, immigration, and environmental issues

21% with Libertarians (no major issues)

10% with Republicans (no major issues)

Sounds about right to me. I'm kind of surprised that Green is so low and Socialist is so high, but I do like technology and chemicals better than most Greens.

8% Republican

Cool. I liked that you could "choose another stance". So much more comprehensive than yes/no/don't know.

73% with green party.

I side 73% with Green Party

I favor republicans on most economic issues, dems on social issues, green on science and foreign policy, libertarians on domestic and immigration issues.

So I'm all over the place lol.

I'm almost exactly like you.

The quiz said that I'm mostly in agreement with Democrats and Greens and Libertarians come in 3rd.

This may be the case in some ways, but if there ever was a candidate that I really supported, it was Ron Paul, who is obviously not a Democrat or a Green.

Also, I am a Truther and pround of it.

My highest percentage is lower than most of yours. I almost always took the 'choose another stance option' and couldn't give a simple yes or no to most questions, and my 'how important is this to you' always fell either in the somewhat, more, or most category (with most being the less frequently chosen one).

Democrats 66%
Libertarians 57%
Green Party 54%
Socialist 33%
Republicans 27%

I side with: Domestic Policy- Socialist; Immigration- Libertarians; Healthcare- Democrats; Science- Democrats; the Environment- Democrats; the Economy- Libertarians; Social- Libertarians

It's interesting because it blurs the lines somewhat, and indicates that some of us aren't as far apart politically as we may think we are. So then WHY is there so much argument? Ha.

Because too often people overlook the trees for the forest. For example, someone from party A says something that could superficially be bad, and people from party B get upset, without looking at the context and intent of the statement, merely because it was said by someone from party A.

Interesting results. I feel like it seems pretty accurate. According to the quiz, I am strongly in agreement with Libertarians and Greens, which is consistent with what I have thought. I tend to think of myself as too liberal for the libertarians and too libertarian for the Greens.

While it isn't an official party, some people have nicknamed this middle ground 'liberaltarian'.

It depends on what definition of "liberal" and "conservative" people go by...

If you view it in terms of constitutionality, many values that are considered "liberal" by society's definition are actually conservative in terms of the original vision (and vice versa).

For example, the pot issue... Being for marijuana is considered "liberal", while being against it is considered "conservative"...however, I consider legalizing it to be a conservative value... since it's not explicitly mentioned in the constitution, therefore it should be up to the states so if they want to allow it, and if they want it, they should be able to have it...in my view that's right in line with a conservative view of the constitution in terms of taking it literally.

I opted out of the test. But it mentioned what candidates that you might agree with.
Cadidates? you mean all the 10,000 corrupt ones? Oh except for maybe a few who will never be let into office. Thank God there will be no cheating voting machines, un Christian wars under the supposed flag of Christianity, and no more deception when the Kingdom comes into its fullness where Christ is Elected For Eternity! Hallelujah!
