I am sure Jesus didn't have warm fuzzy feelings about those Romans who were beating Him.

The last several years, I've experienced financial difficulties which ironically, have also badly affected my relationships with other people. The ONLY positive thing I found in the horrific ordeal is that it helped me get closer to the Truth.

So I guess, it's not really bad to try to achieve financial stability as long as the motivation is for a good cause and not greed.

I'm with @HTacianas it should be a healthy balance of the two. It's quite difficult to get anywhere in this (evil) world with unstable finances.

It's a fact, I did a bit of investigation with statistics of divorce and financial problems is a very strong factor.

I also grew in relatively poor conditions and the difficult living conditions is often a cause of tension and heated arguments between parents. Practically speaking, you can't just have love in this evil world, unless you live in a country like Denmark or Iceland where you don't have to work to have a decent life.

I already choose that (for someone) and it still did not work out, and I wound up almost losing everything, and I mean everything, including my life, and I did lose most "things" (money, wealth, possessions, whatever) but not my life, not yet...

God had to stop me before I went that far for someone who took no notice or appreciation of it at all, or whatsoever...

And I am getting some "things" back now, all thanks being to, and because of God...

I also have gained a much better, much more intimate, personal, and deep relationship with God now, due to it, or and/or because of it...

And that, I cannot regret... So, I have no regrets, now how many people can truly say that...

I've found that a man has to be able to "afford" a woman, or it will be hell, won't work out, she'll leave, ect...

Girls just wanna have fun right...? Well, you gotta make sure you can afford it, that fun, and keep them having fun, or else, and I can't, and I know that, so...

Guess I'm gonna stay single...

I don't get much income, but it's enough for me, but no more than that, not enough to have or afford a girlfriend/female, and keep them happy, so...

But, it's enough to keep me happy (barely) (I get by just fine) (but just me)...

I have found that having enough funds to get by on is enough for me. For we are here in this fallen world for such a short time, and you can't take anything with you.
I would rather be with my wife and eat ramen noodles all the time, than work 60 hours a week and drive a shiny car.
I do work allot in the summer, but just got laid off this week until construction season begins next spring, thank You Lord! My wife can't work, so we have a solid 5 months together, yay!

I would choose love all of the time, as love is something God see lasts forever, but material goods will not!
