What she eats (remember Obama's arugula?), how she prepares it, how she laughs and who didn't want to sit next to young Timmy back in the 60's is apparently relevant to who gets your vote. Well, you have to decide on the major political issues as you see them, I guess.
No actually she does not even know what her policies are now. But it’s her high test liberal positions of the past everyone should consider. The greens thing is just a funny story to show how “weird “ she actually is. You didn’t say , would you eat greens at her house.?

I would dearly love a decent political conversation, but they are very thin on the ground these days in this part of the interweb. I may have to go elsewhere to find one. So I'm not the slightest bit interested in answering trite questions. Someone else may want to play '101 Facile Reasons For Not Voting Democrat'.

Some policies from her past (hard to know where she stands now). Tax on unrealized capital gains, total insane and an economic disaster. Gun buy backs, no fracking, reparations also insane. That is just a few.!

Families are often divided on politics. Who his family votes for is not relevant.
Then why did the Liz/Dick Cheney announcements to vote for Harris make the news?

How she washes her greens? That she laughs? That her running mate's brother votes Republican?

Really? This comes across as some kind of SNL sketch.
And she may even play herself in the SNL sketches done of her (assuming her admin wouldn't shut down SNL for making fun of her).

I understand that he is estranged from his brother, who is a Republican. But then again...so what?
Walz estranged from his brother, Joe Biden won't even acknowledge one of his daughters and has a son who confessed to felonies.
Family values as demonstrated by the current and possible future administrations.

If the reason to vote democrat is "because they aren't Trump" is good enough, then why shouldn't 101 reasons NOT to vote for them be ok to point out?

Because Liz and Dick Cheney are influential (or were) politicians in the Republican party/conservtive move. We know their positions are largely aligned on other things because we know their positions. That announcement wasn't about non-politicians related to the Cheneys, it was about them.

It's interesting that some folks would actually consider that you would not vote based on what a person eats and not on their policies. Maybe they are projecting?

If the candidate feels the need to divert our attention away from the fact that she hasn't named any of her policies, and instead focuses on what she cooks and eats (as if anyone cares), then it only highlights that she has nothing but distractions to occupy our time with.
Maybe she'll bring up her favorite ice cream flavors during tonight's debate. It would be a nice change from the usual menu.

I think she does know what het policies are, but she won't tell the American people because she knows they won't like them. Thats why she won't say what her policies or thoughts are on reparations. Has she flip dropped on that as well?

I think she's lying about all of her flip flops. I dont think she means any of them. She's doing only what she thinks is necessary in order to get elected. Just like Berniee Sanders said.

She's has had no pivotal moment. Even in her softball interview she gave no reason at all for her position change on fracking. The interviewer didn't ask about anything else. They didn't ask about abortions and when they should be illegal if at all.

And still no one is getting answers. She is SO protected by the media and her handlers. I'm actually surprised she is debating Trump.

As @Desk trauma pointed out, Dick Cheney was elected to congress four times, held a cabinet position in two republican administrations and was elected as vice president as a republican twice. The guy carries some weight as a Republican. And now all of a sudden he's not because he doesn't support Trump? I think that some people live in a different reality.

And you think people wouldn't take notice? You think that some people might not think 'Hang on, who are the actual Republicans here?' You really think it wasn't newsworthy? Walz's brother I know about because I watch US news. It wasn't of any interest to the Australian press. But the Cheneys were.

+ Trump's own Vice President refuses to support him.

It's now plainly obvious that a Republican can only be someone who supports Trump. If you don't then you're not. The break with reality is complete.

It's plainly obvious to me that the choices in USA politics boils down to globalism versus an American first agenda.

You should talk to someone who can explain that you can put your country foremost yet still consider your position in the world and how best to help societies as a whole advance.

Tell you something for nothing...back in the day we all used to look to the US as our big brother. Someone to look up to. Someone to take a lead. To help people out when they got in trouble. You were always a good friend.

Now we worry about what you're becoming. We're afraid of what might happen to you.

The USA is tired of paying for the world's problems and being used by the world filled with nations that hate America.

It comes with the territory. If you have the largest and strongest economy in the world and have an armed services on which you spend more than the next ten countries combined, if you see yourself as a beacon of democratic values (stop sniggering up the back - it's mostly true) then you have what is called a 'responsibility' to your allies and friends.

Keeping the world safe needs a lot of people doing the right thing and standing shoulder to shoulder against tyranny. And likewise poverty. One of the reasons why so many in the world are hoping that Harris wins. We want the US to be strong for everyone's sake. Not just yours.

Under the Trump administration, the world was safer and there were no new wars.
