Why in many cases in marriage male age is greater than female?

In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

If a woman married a man her own age, she'd probably get the distinct feeling she was babysitting. Men simply don't mature at the same rate, so marrying an older man levels the field a bit.

My husband is younger than me. It all depends on maturity being equal. Usually that means men are a little older. That doesn't have to be a large number though. I think most people are just a few years apart.

I firmly do believe both parties should be at least 18yrs. of age before getting married. It all depends on their maturity & commitment to the relationship which are some factors in deciding if the marriage will last

I would say there is no correct age, as long as they are consenting, legally aged adults.
However, I'd say wait until late 20s.

Other people have absolutely no business EVER getting married, let alone raising children. (We've all met people like that.)
