Which denomination do you belong to?

Calvary Chapel, because I like their teaching, beliefs, service format, founder, my pastor and all the other great preachers from there.

I've been considering attending a Calvary Chapel service. Their core theological beliefs line up with much of my own understandings.

I've been a part of a very conservative Calvinist church in which the pastors attempt to decide who exactly you live with, whether you drive a car, and your academic degree program. Then I was in a liberal Methodist church, but took off for liberal Quakerism while I was 'seeking', so to speak.

Southern Baptist.

I was raised in that denomination and like how it allows for a broad spectrum of opinions when it comes to doctrine while still trying to uphold the Gospel and orthodoxy.

I do think I'm more moderate compared to the average Southern Baptist, though.

I always thought Southern Baptist is one of the most restrictive in that regard because of its rules against women leading the church and anti-drinking, anti-gambling, anti-LGBT, and anti-abortion campaigns.

Vineyard (but currently home-bound [before COVID-19]). It is orthodox while still leaving room for people who think outside-of-the-box. This was especially evident when its founder, John Wimber, was alive.

I was saved at a Vineyard church. One sermon I heard there was by John Wimber.

The Vineyard currently identifies itself as neo-charismatic, whatever that means. I read the Vineyard is its own separate denomination but that does not make sense. Just call it charismatic and you will be correct.

A denomination is a group of churches that share common views, and have a structure connecting them, though how close the connection is varies. I’d call Vineland a denomination.

I always call myself a Protestant because none of the denominations match all of my religious beliefs, but just calling myself a Christian would allow people to think I might be Catholic.

Nondenominational with a tendency to lean towards the Eastern Orthodox doctrines on salvation.

Sure, you have the Normative principle of worship - Wikipedia and the Regulative principle of worship - Wikipedia

Luther took the (Normative principal) approach of the Reformation. Keeping practices that were common within the church as it was but omitted what was in contradiction to scripture. Where Reformed churches use the (Regulative principle) which is only utilizing what is strickly stated in scripture.

They are anti-abortion and maintain a conservative view on sexuality. Women are not permitted to be preachers, but some churches permit women deacons.

The anti-drinking is sorta true. It's only enforced if you want to serve the denomination in some way, such as becoming a minister or missionary. Some schools affiliated with the SBC may also prohibit drinking.

Among the laity, opinions on alcohol are varied.

I don't know if the SBC considers gambling a sin, but even if it isn't, I'd reckon most would still caution against it.
