Would you like to visit ourside Australia? I personally have no wish to travel outside Oz as I love the place.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
China, the mountain of the Emperors...or the dodgy translation, the Yellow Mountains. It feels like a competition again the Blue Mountains...lol....
But the Yellow Mountains are fully a site to remember.
It's natural for all chinese people to at least see the mountain once in their lifetime....
Almost like the muslims that they have to go to mecca at least once in their life time. But it's not religion based.
Our urge is natural, ancesteral based...it's like a feeling of belonging, because there is no way a European Painter can pain the Yellow mountains properley...at most it'll only look like those great chinese paintings....
But the Yellow Mountains are fully a site to remember.

a long journey ahead
i want to go to Tasmania, but that's not outside Australia.. 
i would like to visit China too. Last year mom and dad went to Beijing and saw the Great Wall without me and bro!! (but they did tape lots of stuff) there's this nine waterfalls place and the province in the south western part of China that i'd love to see.. just all the traditional things!
i also want to see Taiwan... after hearing all the nice eating places from friends and the university from mom. She said that university looks more magestic than UNSW and that there're rows and rows of trees at the entrance.
well, other than China.. it's Switzerland. I watched it on The Great Outdoor a couple of years back and decided that i'd like to go there.

A couple of answers:
Ireland, to check the place out a bit better than last time, and Italy, to give the secondary school Italian a final workout before I lose it for good. However, I also reckon that Australian travel is a bigger lure now than what Sam Gamgee (or his gaffer) would call Foreign Parts.

I would like to visit New Zealand and central and north Africa. Maybe parts of Europe as well. France and Italy would be pretty cool. Although I would love to tour New Zealand first before visiting all the other places.

I think I would prefer to see the whole of Australia before I venture overseas. I would love to travel, but if I have any more babies, I will wait for them to grow up a little first.

ooooooooooh...Aussie first Mama! It is a beautiful country! We have a bit of every country in the world here. And, it's all a la naturale! The biggest rock in the world (Uluru) is a must! Kunnunurra, Darwin, the Alice. It's a mafgnificent country. I want to get up to see the High Country soon.

Oh, thats right, on my list, easter island and Christmas island...
they're the most interesting island...

I'm going to be a history and geography teacher soon, so visiting places would be great, here's my short list:
China
Turkey - visit Istanbul, then travel down the Gallipoli penninsula, then go visit a few archaelogical sites if I could.
Chile
El Salvador - Bishop Romero is one of my heroes.
Italy
Egypt
Russia
Finland
Croatia - I hear there are some nice port cities that lie on the Adriatic there.
Wait a minute, I said short list!! The places I would not want to go: the US or Britain. America is took close to us culture wise for it to capture my imagination, and Britain, well I'm just not a fan of the mother country.

Seen most of Oz already so for for me China, Italy, Eastern Europe, Uk and Cenrtral Asia.... a mixed bag there I guess but there is a lot to see in this big world. I think the culture of these places are a standout feature and thats why I would be so keen.

Oh lil_one, you've gotta see Oz! It's magnificent! The warm air of the NT & the brightness of the stars at night. Of course, they are in 'The Wet' now. Wally22 could tell you about that as he lives near Darwin.
Kunnunurra is beautiful, the Alice, the Olga's, Uluru, the High Country.
