God sends the rich ( empty) away and the rich send God ( the true riches)away from themselves.

Belief in riches is with their whole heart, ( for the wicked) so belief in Christ for the meek is in their whole heart( not feinedly as the wicked and rich of this world

Jeremiah 3:10 And yet for all this her treacherous sister Judah hath not turned unto me with her whole heart, but feignedly, saith the Lord.

2 Peter 2:3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

Yes, they had belief as the scriptures teach, John 12:42
But their faith is not a faith from love of Christ, James 2:19.

Their faith cannot save, because they love this world more than God.

Please tell me what do you believe we must do to be saved?

We cant belief feignedly, it is false.

They had no faith ( belief in the heart to righteousness) as faith is pure not fake.

To be saved is to do all unlike the Pharisees, that is why we have that example.

Was it not told, go and sell and give all.

It looks like the Jews of Israel believing again, up until the point of having to give away the thing they lover the most and then we see they did not believe at all sincerely.

Glad we established all this today and how it was themselves that prevented the belief in Christ. That also was how and why they had no faith in Him, as their faith was in this world and trusted in themselves. ( prideful of their father the devil and not the meekness of Christ in them)

I think I did not tell you, the verses tell us all.

To think I am telling you what to do is foolish, as I am telling nothing, it tells me, it tells you, it tells us all.

The Apostles are actual example of doing that for real,of having nothing and nowhere, so it was real.

The witness of God is greater than that of men..

1 John 5:9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.

Love ( what is shed into our hearts) means we fulfil all in that love( or we fulfil nothing instead)

Galatians 5:14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

The first time the gospel of Jesus Christ was preached after His death, burial and ressurection from the dead.
After
His chosen apostles got Holy Spirit baptism to preach the gospel.

When the new covenant of Christ came into effect, Hebrews 9:16-17.

The very first gospel unto salvation was preached by Peter in Acts 2.

Acts 2:37
Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren what shall we do?

I desire you tell me, Faithful 777. But you apparently are not interested in sharing how to be saved.

Acts 2:38
Then Peter said to them, REPENT and let everyone of you be BAPTIZED in the name of Jesus Christ FOR THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Next we see how faith comes from hearing the gospel,
Romans 10:17
So then Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.

Faith comes from hearing the gospel Peter preached as well as the rest of the apostles preaching.

We must have faith to be saved
We must have repentance to be saved
We must have confession with ones mouth to be saved

Romans 10:9-10
That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
For with the heart one believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Here is our example of confessing our faith in Christ Jesus,

Acts 8:37-38
Then Philip said if you believe with all your heart you may. AND HE ANSWERED AND SAID "I BELIEVE THAT JESUS CHRIST IS THE SON OF GOD"

So he commanded the chariot to stand still and both Phillip and the Eunuch went down into the water and he baptized him.

We see that confession is not a pray as some believe but a public confession of faith in Jesus.

1John 4:15
Whoever confesses that Jesus is God, God abides in him, and he in God.

Matthew 10:32-33
Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I also will confess before My Father who is in heaven.
But whoever denies Me before men, him will I also deny before My Father who is in heaven.

So we understand the gospel when preached by the apostles to the lost, it was more than just believe and you will be saved.

Jesus preached in order for God to save man we must obey His commandments.

These include all of His commandments to be saved.
Jesus gave more commandments after one is saved.

Last commandment Jesus gave for us to be saved is immersion in water,
Acts 22:16;
Mark 16:15-16
And He said to them, Go into all the world and preach the GOSPEL to every creature.
He who BELIEVES AND IS BAPTIZED will be saved; but he whom does not believe will be condemned.

This is exactly what all the apostles taught how one is saved.

This is the gospel of Jesus Christ unto salvation.

Acts 16:30-33
And he brought them out and said, Sirs what must I do to be saved?

So they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved, you and your household.

THEN THEY SPOKE THE WORD OF THE LORD TO HIM and to all who were in his house.

And he took them the same hour of the night and washed their stripes. And immediately he and his household were baptized.

Jesus requires everyone to believe and obey His gospel
Only then will God save them.

Hebrews 5:8-9
Though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered.
And having been perfected, He became the author of ETERNAL SALVATION TO ALL WHO OBEY HIM.
