  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I voted for the history course as well, mostly because when choosing courses I usually try to pick ones that have evangelistic usefulness, and certainly understanding the history of the east would be useful for that.

Now, of course, depending on what major you are in, and what you're planning to do with it, the history course might be mostly useless to you. ;)

I've taken child development and I think that is a pretty useful and interesting class, particularly if you are planning on having kids one day.

ETA:

Since I already have taken child development, I would take abnormal psychology.

Chemistry would be a pretty useful class for you to have taken, too.

Hey everyone, thanks for voting. :) The one I want to take the most is History of Ancient East Asia. I took hist of modern east asia a little over a year ago, and have been waiting for the ancient east asia one to be offered (it's only offered in fall), last fall I chose not to take it because I thought I needed a break from history to concentrate on some other classes.
It does fit in a part of my general education requirements I need to fulfill. And it does seem quite useful. My major is Library Technology for my associates degree, then I'm going to transfer
to a four year college and major in bible. I want to be a missionary, though I don't know where.

Freshman Composition I have to take (can't really get out of it...), in fact I attempted taking it twice already. That's the only class I have said I hate. It might just be the english program at my school... but I don't know... It's probably the same at other colleges too...

Child Development sounds interesting to me, and I was thinking of taking it online, because it's sounded so easy.

Abnormal Psychology I've been wanting to take for quite sometime now, and I hope I get to, but I have to find out from a counselor from school about what is needed in that catagoy in particular... I guess if I never do take a class, I can study it on my own. :)

Intro to Chem is the science class I chose to fulfill part of my science general ed requirements. So I will take that at some point, I think.

Finite Mathematics I chose as the math to fulfill the math, because I couldn't handle college algebra both times I tried that. :D And the other lower math classes I've taken (beginning and intermediate algebra) don't transfer so I have to take something higher.

So anyways, I think I'm going to take the history one this semester. :)

Abnormal Psychology hands down.

I took that class two years ago. Absolutely amazing! Best college I have taken yet (started college in 2004).

The things learned in ab psych really were amazing. I also had a blessing of having a great professor who was hilarious.

It really was fascinating.
