That is a very good question and I appreciate the sincerity. It is a long answer and much too hard for an appropriate answer on this thread, but I will do the best I can:
Can't really explain it but , being a Christian with Christ in me , I just somehow know!
Scripturally, God said we will be spirit and a combination of a resurrected body like Jesus demonstrated to the Apostles. This life is temporary and full of physical and mental pain....in eternity we are impervious to pain and hardship and it is a life that never ends. But of course, if one does not believe, it is a whole different matter!

I have. The guy would say " I know that God is a God of love, but He is also a God of wrath and judgement and that's what I like to talk about" And boy, did he like to talk about it! Once, in a hospital ward literally full of patients lying flat down on beds with tubes and what not going up noses and into arms, he began his sermon with the words "some people say that Jesus never spoke about hell, but Jesus spoke more about hell than he did about heaven".

He was a lad! I sometimes wonder just where he is now.

All Muslims accept Jesus... but, maybe not in the same way many Christians do.

From the Qur'an:

87 And verily We gave unto Moses the Scripture and We caused a train of messengers to follow after him, and We gave unto Jesus, son of Mary, clear proofs (of Allah's sovereignty), and We supported him with the Holy spirit. Is it ever so, that, when there cometh unto you a messenger (from Allah) with that which ye yourselves desire not, ye grow arrogant, and some ye disbelieve and some ye slay ?

Oh, the Muslims believes Jesus existed.... Even a great prophet but they do not "accept" Jesus as Lord and Savior...much less God! So, our connotation of accept is completely different!

That's awful. Frightening people into faith is not real faith. It misses out on love, grace, mercy and forgiveness.
