Given the facts:

The move comes as disinformation spreads online amid protests and unrest.

It's a question the right seems to be unwilling to answer.
They are calling for less law and order. Right up until the protestors come to their neighborhood.
From Fox News:
Former Vice President Joe Biden called the protests in response to the death of George Floyd “utterly American,” but condemned the “needless destruction” and violence that broke out across the country on Saturday night.
...
“Protesting such brutality is right and necessary. It’s an utterly American response,” he said. “But burning down communities and needless destruction is not. Violence that endangers lives is not. Violence that guts and shutters businesses that serve the community is not.”

And BTW:
The founder of St. Paul’s Black Lives Matter chapter denounced the violent protesters who blocked a major interstate and attacked police officers Saturday night in the Twin Cities, saying they did a disservice to the officers trying to maintain order and that their actions did nothing to further the group’s goals.
Rashad Turner, who leads Black Lives Matter in St. Paul, tells TIME that he blames much of the violence on people who he says weren’t from the area.
“There were people outside of the community I didn’t recognize,” he says. “They were doing stupid stuff, and it’s something we don’t tolerate.”

So who's behind it?
A trio of right-wing extremists with military backgrounds have been busted for plotting riots at George Floyd protests in Las Vegas — part of a plan to overthrow the government, according to federal prosecutors.
Army reservist Andrew T. Lynam Jr., 23, former Navy man Stephen T. Parshall, 35, and former Air Force man William L. Loomis, 40, were being held on $1 million bond each on terrorism-related charges.
The trio were part of the “boogaloo” movement, “a term used by extremists to signify coming civil war and/or fall of civilization,” prosecutors said in a release.

C'mon. You knew this. Anyone not living in a cave, knew this.
Prepare for the old switch-a-roo in the coming months. You know even the liberals are dumb enough to let that wore out old puppet run for President. So, what are they up to? What are they going to come up with as a plan 'A', cuz we know tired Joe was their 'B'.
The man is running for president (!) and the suggestion is made that he ought to know--and say--something specific about what is going on, how to do things better than at present, or etc.?You're right, Joe Biden should use his vast power as a *checks notes* private citizen to address the problem. What do you suggest he do besides what he already has done?
The post I was responding too was specifically about ACTION. The poster I was responding to felt that words weren't enough because they don't actually accomplish anything. The man is running for president (!) and the suggestion is made that he ought to know--and say--something specific about what is going on, how to do things better than at present, or etc.?
I don't find that to be especially controversial.Or demanding.
That "worn out old puppet" beat out over 20 Democratic contenders and is currently ahead in each of the 6 states that Trump desperately needs to win the Electoral College!Prepare for the old switch-a-roo in the coming months. Wow! Am I glad we have Trump!
Make America Great Again!!!
Then I am forced to conclude that someone misunderstood both the writer of the OP and my post as well. The post I was responding too was specifically about ACTION. The poster I was responding to felt that words weren't enough because they don't actually accomplish anything.
Conservatives are just frustrated that Biden has managed to secure a commanding lead in the polls by remaining in his basement with a minimum of campaigning! Then I am forced to conclude that someone misunderstood both the writer of the OP and my post as well.
When a person is the one and only presumed challenge to the incumbent president, he is not just a casual armchair quarterback. The presumptive nominee of one of the two major parties, the sole person who can unseat the man being vilified as not having done right while in office, cannot just "take a pass" during the presidential campaign.
And yes, his stances, explanations, proposals, etc. are what the American people expect and have a right to expect...if he thinks that he can do better.
And make no mistake about that. When it comes to Biden's few public appearances, he may have no real answers, but he hasn't held back on claiming that he would be better than Trump. That much he is willing to address, if not a lot more.
And begging his god to allow mail-in ballots.
It all depends on what the mail-in system looks like. I notice that some prominent Democrats have been saying that absentee ballots have not posed much of a problem of fraud in the past (ergo Trump is wrong to be skeptical), BUT it isn't the past that matters. We used mail-in ballots in West Virginia in our recent primary. Red state, Republican governor. My understanding is that the mail-in ballots worked well.
This was a recent change to deal with the COVID pandemic, and it worked well. Yes there were a few problems but not many. Perhaps other states should follow West Virginia’s example. It all depends on what the mail-in system looks like. There are many moves afoot or recently completed to expand the mail-in balloting and that's what Pelosi is intent upon getting made into a nationwide policy. THOSE CHANGES almost certainly would open us up to serious vote fraud, and some recent elections (but not WV, if you are telling us that) have proven that it's not an unwarranted concern.

You are being gullible. If they can steal the election, then 2020, as bad as it's been, will be the last great year this land ever had. And Trump will be our last President. We used mail-in ballots in West Virginia in our recent primary. Red state, Republican governor. My understanding is that the mail-in ballots worked well.
