This was a recent change to deal with the COVID pandemic, and it worked well. Yes there were a few problems but not many. Perhaps other states should follow West Virginia’s example.

Colorado has been voting by mail-in ballots since 2014 and it's worked great. You can still go fill out a ballot if you want to but this primary on June 30 only 6% did.

Yes, for example, in March Biden presented a comprehensive plan for dealing with the pandemic, and asked Trump to begin the necessary work to control it. Instead Trump told us it was controlled and it would go away "like a miracle." And so about 36,000 Americans died needlessly because he didn't do the right things.

The data show that the city’s electorate is growing and that people who didn’t vote in the past are beginning to do so. In an overwhelmingly Democratic city, that suggests an energized Democratic electorate — one that could prove critical to the party’s hopes of beating President Donald Trump in Pennsylvania in 2020.

“This movement in Philadelphia County could tip the results of the 2020 elections,” said Mark Nevins, a Democratic strategist in the city. “You can draw a line from the growth in turnout and performance among Democrats in Philadelphia County to a Democratic win in 2020 in the general election, and it’s not that difficult to see that path.”

What the situation was 4 years ago isn't very helpful as we look at the contenders today.

And people age at different speeds.

In this case, Trump is remarkably active for his age while Biden is...well...many others have said it, so I don't need to repeat it once again.

Notice Obama's hair got noticeably more grey over the 8 years he was in office. Trump's cognitive and physical decline has accelerated in past year. Presidency is a hard job. It's even harder for Trump, who is clearly in over his head.

I'm 73. I still climb bluffs and I have no trouble walking down ramps or drinking from a cup as Trump has. Last year, I learned how to build a patio. Just got the second phase of it finished.

And while I can't do some kinds of math in my head as easily as I once could, I certainly don't have the kind of mental glitches Trump has exhibited in public recently. Imagining airports during the Ameircan revolution, or thinking that it's a good idea to inject disinfectant into one's body shows a cognitive decline of serious consequences. This guy has the nuclear codes. That's not a very reassuring thought.

As you see, Biden has no such problems. His outline of what needed to be done to handle the pandemic, back in March, shows that his ability to grasp technical issues remains strong.
