I own a lot of Jackie Chan DVDs, 34 to be exact, and I am always looking for more. Today I was at a local everything store and I found this Chan DVD I never heard of before. So, as soon as I got home I popped it in the player and sat back to soak it all in. The first thing that showed up was a message in broken German that read;
The film Blood Fingers has been long sought after by Jackie Chan fans the world over. We are pleased to present to you this rare film. This DVD is a Thailand MAZ and is poor quality. Because there are no movie reels or original negatives in existence, this is the only way to present this film to the public.
Needless to say I watched this movie all the way through, but I couldnt find Chan fu anywhere. On the second showing my 9 year old son, a big Chan fan, decided to sit next to me and see what all the action was about. About 10 minutes into the film he says, there Papa, theres Jackie! So I skip back a few scenes and push play, my son points his finger again and I froze the scene and got a snapshot. Below I have posted a copy of the DVD cover, and I have posted the only still of a face that resembles Mr. Chan in the whole freaking film. Is it Jackie or not? Did I waste $12 or was the two second cut worth it?
You decide.
Side note: I almost forgot, the movie was made in 1972. On the DVD there was also a trailer of some freaky horror movie I never heard of called Shallow Ground.
