Where Is Everybody?

Since the latest upgrade I hardly ever see anybody here, therefore, where is everybody?

Just stopping by to say HI. I have been just lurking here lately and on another forum.

I have to say I wasn't really impressed with the "upgrade". Maybe its just because I don't like change to much.

I'll check-in every now and then though.

I'm with MVA. I don't really like the new board. It looks just like every other message board out there. The old version somehow seemed more professional..more like a community and website, than just a normal message board with different section.

I come on here in the little time I have mainly just cause of the support I need right now, and my friends here..But I dont much feel like chatting here anymore. Which is sad.

Also find it's a lot more slower loading and harder to navigate.

Hi folks,

CF is still undergoing changes, and we're still operating in a very basic version. There will be a lot of good things added over the next two weeks, and some of the current changes may be stabilized as well.

What hasn't changed is the people, and I am hopeful that many of us can continue to enjoy eachother's company, just like we always have.

If you have any comments or ideas, feel free to post them. Or, if you'd like a more private setting, my PM box is always open.

Change is never easy, but we are all hopeful of change being positive.

There's just a lot of politics here that I think we get little sneak peeks at every once in a while. I've seen enough to know that it gets pretty ugly behind the scenes, which is unfortunate for a Christian site.

I don't mind the upgrade so much, but it is like every other message board out there now. There's really nothing unique about it anymore, except for the treatment we received right when the changes occurred (getting stuck in "faith groups").

I said I was leaving, and although I really love some of the people here, I probably won't hang out much here anymore. I would like to see the problems of excluding us as a denomination fixed though, for sure. It's discrimination and nobody is taking credit for making the call. Why would they? It would open up a can of worms I don't think CF is prepared to deal with honestly.

I think it's easier just to say that because of the split we can't be under the denomination category.

The reality and the "fix" here is to merge us back together and enforce the congregation-wide rules of CF that defines membership (non-members only posting fellowship posts).

I just have a feeling that even if we do that, there would be another excuse for keeping us under faith groups, but we'll see...........

i havent been posting because of all the "stink" that has happend here lately. i am so disgusted how things have been handled here, it really has turned me off to cf!! i have really lost interest in coming to this place. and to top it off, no more characters! i loved the characters! i dont know, this place just doesnt seem to have the appeal it used to. to much politics and behind the scenes sneaky'ness for me!

I agree that the behind-the-scenes discussion has been taking entirely too long, but some steps have been agreed to, and some clarification from the upper staff has allowed your mod team to begin to take these issues public with you all.

There are characters still. Just in a different place. (Can't remember where, but I found them at one point). Problem is they override where the avatar goes... I liked having both, it was neat.

There are still characters, but they're ginormous!

I had mine up at one point but it wasn't like it used to be, and Sarah is right, you lose your avatar when you put up a character.

I'm such a creature of habit and I don't always welcome change, but this one I really don't care for even after giving it a chance. You get used to what you learn, you know?

Very true, Sis. I also liked how we had all those little symbols at the tops of our posts..and having both character and avatar seemed very unique to this board. Sucks it's gone.

Scrollbars on the siggys was great, also. Mine looks kinda long and outta place now.
