These tests are often very annoying to me. Here's why.

1. Tax Policy
The progressive income tax code in place is preferable to a flat tax rate and places the burden with those who can most easily afford it.
It is unfair to tax higher income individuals more for being financially successful. The income tax should be replaced by a national sales tax.
The income tax should be reformed into a single flat tax rate such that all Americans share the burden proportionally.
A larger share of the tax burden should be paid by the wealthy, and taxes on the poor and lower-middle classes should be reduced.
No Opinion

No option for "tax is theft by the government and usury is theft by businesses and individuals! end government and capitalism!"

2. Free Trade
Free trade agreements should be used in conjunction with demands for labor, environmental, and human rights improvements in partner countries.
Free trade agreements only benefit wealthy corporations at the expense of the working class.
NAFTA and other free trade agreements cause American jobs to go abroad and should be renegotiated or eliminated.
Free trade agreements with nations around the world are a key to our long-term economic growth.
No Opinion

No option for "all trade agreements should be made between free individuals and federations of freely associating producers!"

3. Fiscal Priorities
Deficit spending is an effective strategy for spurring the economy, and the accumulation of additional debt is countered by faster overall economic growth.
As a general policy, the government should look to reduce taxes and cut programs.
As a general policy, our government has a responsibility to provide more social services, financed with higher taxes if necessary.
Reducing the federal budget deficit and paying off the national debt should be the top financial priority of our government.

No option for "there should be no government who takes the product of workers' labour!"

4. Abortion
Abortion is murder and should be made illegal in virtually all cases.
Abortions are a woman's right and should be legal with few or no restrictions.
Abortions should be restricted as much as possible with the ultimate intent of banning them.
While abortions should remain legal, the government should enact regulations such as parental consent requirements for minors.

No option for "the state has no authority to interfere in the lives of free individuals! end theft by capital and the imposition of authority to encourage individual responsibility and social community, ending manmade poverty and strongly reducing incentives for women to abort!"

5. Gun Policy
Guns are a danger to society and we should work to ban them across the board.
We have the right to bear arms and the government should not interfere with this.
The government should encourage more responsible gun ownership and usage without the use of regulations.
While individuals should maintain a right to own a gun, it needs to be highly regulated with safety and licensing laws.

No option for "the government has no authority to interfere with the lives of free individuals! end capital and end the profit motive to remove the incentive for almost all violent crime!"

6. Health Care
The government should regulate drug prices to control the excessive profits of manufacturers and ensure Americans can access the best drugs at lower rates.
With the rising costs of health care, the government must put together a comprehensive national health plan to ensure Americans have access to quality care.
While the government should not provide new health coverage, it should pass tort reform legislation in an effort to control medical costs.
Health care costs and coverage should remain managed primarily by free market forces.

End capital and have healthcare provided by free associations of health professional federations so that the last option results in the best healthcare possible instead of the most economical healthcare business practice that can be gotten away with!

7. Foreign Aid
Foreign Aid should be primarily to support the democratization of countries or to strengthen our relationships with other nations.
We have a responsibility to provide humanitarian aid to other nations without expectation of anything in return.
Our role as the sole remaining superpower demands that our commitment to foreign aid for all purposes be expanded greatly and expanded to more nations.
The United States has too many domestic issues that must be dealt with. Aid to foreign countries should be reduced or eliminated.

Foreign aid is an Orwellian term and concept used by governments to further their own interests, which are seldom in line with the interests of the people! End government and let free associations of individuals provide what assistance to people around the world that they choose!

8. Education and the Federal Government
The federal government should both provide more funding and set higher standards for the public school system.
The public school system in the U.S. is failing and the federal government must support school vouchers to give children the opportunity to attend private schools.
Public education is primarily a local issue and should be left to state and local governments.
The federal government has a responsibility to fund education, but should allow the decision making to occur at the local levels.

End state indoctrination via public education systems! Let different federations of freely associating education professionals make agreements with individuals and other federations on providing various forms of education!

You get the idea.

That tends to happen around here when you open your mind. :)

Hey, I open my mind and I become nearly libertarian! :p

On Non-Fiscal Issues, you rank as a Centrist (40).
On Fiscal Issues, you rank as a Strong Conservative (85).

I'm moving a bit rightward on the non-fiscal axis, it seems.
