I put other because I will date Christians of another denomination but not all denominations. There are some denominations that have beliefs so different from mine that it just wouldn't work. I will not date non-Christians and those of other religions, again because our belief systems would just be incompatible.

I would date a Christian of similar beliefs to me. I'm non-denominational, so dating inside or outside my denomination is not applicable to me. I would say she'd need to be Protestant and non-charismatic, or at least not too charismatic.
In my eyes, non-denominational has become it's own denomination. I became a Christian in a non-denom church and attended them until a year ago. I've found that most non-denominational church has roots in some denomination, and can vary just as much as any other denomination.

I voted for a christian of any denomination, but I might have a difficult time with staunch baptists (only half serious) but we would definitely have to talk about women's roles in the church and dancing.

For dating, religion doesn't matter to me, since dating isn't about marriage; it's about meeting new people and growing as an individual. It can lead to marriage, but I find it very narrow-minded to think of it exclusively as the precursor to marriage.

woman can be anything but Pastor and Deacon..... according to Scripture... man doesn't get to decide sorry, but let's save that can of worms for that thread....

You probably shouldn't bring up a contentious issue like this in such an incredibly jingoistic way if you don't want it debated.

thanks for pointing that out, didn't know I put the d word(darling) in there... my bad..... problem of typing tired...

And "That Thread" that I meant is this one on women pastors.

Not that I don't care to debate it, just don't want to turn this thread into a debate on it.....

This reminds me of a question I asked sometime back
When does sin became sin?
I used the example of Jesus tempted by the devil to turn stone to bread and What he said "When you look at a woman lustfully you've already commited adultery"

I believe if we found the answer to this question then we can know where to draw the line in dating.

I'd certainly date any Christian. Perhaps they do have beliefs that aren't going to work with mine but I'd rather find that out first hand than just make an assumption. It maybe the person doesn't agree with their denomination on everything but is there because they think that's where God wants them to be.

i voted for other...obvious ha. religion isn't a requirement...even tho i'm agnostic, it would be a big brownie point if they have a strong intrest into religion or philosophy.

i would not date people of a specific Christian denomination...charismatic. not because i hate charismatics, but i have a strong disdain towards charismatics' theology (not because i'm agnostic).

i've never had any experience with dating a woman in another religion outside of Christianity. the one i'd predict which would be difficult would be a muslim. not because i'm anti-muslim, but just because differences of world views and cultures. it'd be interesting tho.

Charismatic isn't a denomination. There are a few denominations that are charismatic and charismatic elements in a lot of other denominations.

I'd be interested to hear what your problem with charismatic theology is (but maybe this isn't the place?)
