You personally would what? Rule out all Anglicans? :(
It would have to be someone who is open to a pentacostal type church. I don't know that I could sit in a quiet church service.

I guess I should be more open minded as long as the person is a Christian.

I wouldn't want someone to call me demonic for believing in speaking in tounges.

Well then you need to learn some more about the Anglican communion. My last church was a charismatic, contemporary worship, tongue speaking, Church of England church.

I don't know anything about it honestly. All I know is the church I have been to and a catholic church I have been to a few times.

This reminds me of a question I asked sometime back
When does sin became sin?
I used the example of Jesus tempted by the devil to turn stone to bread and What he said "When you look at a woman lustfully you've already commited adultery"

I believe if we found the answer to this question then we can know where to draw the line in dating.
:tutu: :tutu:
because being tempted to sin and commiting are different....

looking at a hot chick and going "she's hot" and nothing else is just looking
looking at a hot chick and going "She's hot" and "I wonder what it would be like to be with her" lust = sexual desire......
when you move in your mind past the admiring stage to the plotting in your mind what it would be like to be with her, you're lusting....

having hunger for a loaf of bread and desiring after a loaf of bread so much you would do anything for it are two different things....

Christ gave us the example, we need to be Biblically minded, not self minded...
if we think Biblically we don't think lustfully about someone, we genuinely care about them.
if we think lustily we think about our benefit and pleasure, and nothing for what the other person thinks.

For me, as long as they....
1. Are Christian
2. Go to some sort of enthusiastic, God put first, spirit-filled service. Such as Pentocostal, Church of God, non-denominational, apostolic..
3. Believe you should live by the Bible and really try to live according to it.
4. Are strong spiritually and walk in the spirit.

So in a nut shell, as long as our main beliefs are the same, little things aren't as important.

whoa.... red flag. I don't think either of these are wrong actully. Our sexaul desire is simply sexaul desire and we can exersice dicpline and try to supress it until marrege.... but you won't get rid of it entirely... and you shouldn't.

Now I would define lust as looking at her wrongly. Here's my scale

look at a girl and think "she's cute" = nothing wrong

look at a girl and think "she's got attractive features" = sexaul desire

look at a girl and imagen her naked or look at parts of the body you shouldn't look at = lust

I think the issue is invading an area thats not yours to invade. A girl's body is not a man's proporty to do whatever he wants with and I think once we cross this line in thinking that a girls' body is our own proporty and we have right to it... than thats wrong, and for obvious reasons. Everything else is simply just sexaul desire in it's true essense.

I put other because I am non-denominational and I don't consider that a denomination as someone else stated. I want to date someone that truly loves God and is not afraid to raise their hands to worship but I no longer believe that some of the "holy rollin" that goes on is biblical in any sense of the word. If it's not in the scriptures, I don't think it's right for the church JMO.

I think these people love the thrill more than they love God. It's a form of relegious witchcraft in my oppionion. Say the right words and bobbity boo! Use God to our own pleasure.

In my eyes, non-denominational has become it's own denomination. I became a Christian in a non-denom church and attended them until a year ago. I've found that most non-denominational church has roots in some denomination, and can vary just as much as any other denomination.
Which is why it can't be its own denomination. A non-denom church with Baptist roots and a non-denom church with Assembly of God roots are both going to be so different that you can't lump them together any more than you could an actual Baptist church and an actual AG church.

..if your faith is a major part of your life then it will effect what kind of foundation you build in your relationship, and how you conduct your house and raise your children.. so its probably intellegent to make sure that you find someone who is on the same page as you <3

"i am of cephas" "i am of paul" "i am of Appolos" "i am of Christ"

As long as you confess that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, then kewl. I could care less what church you go to. Though as far as dating/marriage is concerned it would be best if we are somewhat on the same page on how to go about our lives and raising kids and whatnot.

Don't forget you have to slap'em on the forehead real hard too ;) And to think I used to think that was biblical  . I once went to a church and during the service people starting twitching.....yeah you heard me right, twitching! Like they had terets or something, And they thought this was really spiritual! I'm sorry I could NOT get behind that, no way, no how.

It's really weird when people are so dogmatic about their denomination that they refuse to date any others. God gave us that gray matter located inside our skulls. If dating someone who believes and follows the same God and the same Jesus but just happens to believe some different things as far as theology goes is scary to a person, maybe they are afraid to use that gray matter.
