Where do you buy your books?

This may sound kinda funny, but i normally buy my books from a book store at the Chicago O'hare Airport!!!

Well, since the town I live in only has one bookstore, and it's mostly second-hand... I like going to Chapters Book Store, whenever I go to the nearby city. Great selection, good organization, and plenty of variety in the sections.

I buy mostly from Books-a-million and Barnes and Noble, but you can get some sweet deals on stuff at Lifeway Christian Bookstores. I bought all my Left Behind books there for $10-$15 less than what they were at any of the big chains.

I buy books just about anywhere.

For specific purchases, I go online - typically Amazon.com.

I love shopping at big bookstores like Borders or Barnes and Noble, especially if I want to relax for a few hours, have a cup of coffee, and browse through a wide selection of books and magazines.

I also enjoy perusing the musty old stacks of books at assorted used book stores around town. There are some real gems in there sometimes. Most recently, I found two volumes of Churchill's History of English-Speaking Peoples (first edition!) at one not far from my home.

I get them at alibris.com prices and free shipping on a lot of their stuff. I also go to the local half price books store.

And then when I buy books on theology I usually just head on down to Fuller's serminary that's 10 minutes from me.

But Amazon.com is freak'n amazing and my #1 pic above all.

I have a book obession. I buy where ever I see books.

I am a member to the Christian book club "The Crossing".

And also the literary club. They are hard back books and a lot

cheaper then buying it anywhere. But if I happen to pass

a book in walmart, it is in my shopping cart.

I get my books from walmart, the crossing, The Giving Tree(christian bookstore in the mall), & sometimes waldenbooks. Someday I want to have my own little bookstore. Sometimes I get them from the library...when they have bookbarn days.

I buy my books from Half Price Books mostly.

I picked up a brand new Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary from there the other day. It retails for $25 and I got it for $9.

I buy books from wherever they are cheapest. lol. I love finding hard cover books for like 4 bucks at walmart and barnes. I usually can't pass up a good deal when it comes to books. But if I really think the book will be interesting and I have the money I usually go ahead and buy it.

#1 is Amazon.com! Can get used(in like new condition, or even new) super cheap from 3rd-party sellers. Also when buying new, any order $25 or more is shipped free,and the new stuff arrives here in OH., in 2 days,so don't bother "upgrading"!
I also buy at Library book sales.
