It seems that some when to Abraham's Bosom and Luke 20:22-31 explains it BUT 2 Cor 5:8 says , ABSENT FROM THE BODY and Present with the Lord !!

Why the difference ??

I am sure you know that there is the GRAVE , HELL , HADES , PARADISE . THE PIT , TARTARUS , AND GEHENNA and quite a study !!

From what I've read in the OT death, hell (sheol) and the grave were pretty much lights out forever. That's one of the things about Jesus, he said astonishing things about heaven and hell

They were put in, or went to , the grave. (' buried with their fathers ' ? i.e. not same grave probably, but in a grave "like" their fathers were before them )
