There are many believers that say we go to heaven after death .

Some say that there is and intermediate state >

Some say that they believe that after death , they go to PURGATORY first !

And do say , that when you die you just die .

And what about those who die at BIRTH .

What say you ?

People say a lot of things regarding death because it is a horrible thing and so final in this realm.

Maybe that is why The Bible uses the metaphor of “sleep” at times …it softens the blow.

If you think about it sleep is a great metaphor.
If you have a good nights sleep your next moment of consciousness is waking up… With death, the next moment of consciousness is the trumpet of God for those under this covenant…………… And the angel’s trumpets for those before Pentecost at the day of the Lord resurrection.

The Bible does not teach a wait station or purgatory…or immediately beamed up to heaven.

As for dying at birth ….there is not much …but we do know that children (before the age of accountability, per se’) are sanctified by the believing parents.

To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord (2 Co 5:8).
Paul places himself with Christ (Php 1:21-23), as does Jesus with the thief on the cross, at death (Lk 23:43),
which is why "to die is gain." (Php 1:21-23)

This revelation was given to John to write by Jesus Christ…. possibly between 70 and 80 AD

Jhn 3:13
And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.
The man (body, soul, spirit) Paul didn't ascend into heaven, the spirit of Paul would be with Christ at the death of Paul's physical body.

First of all, believers are Kingdom bound and the Kingdom comes down from Heaven. This Heaven thing is the result of a lack of teaching about the Kingdom, Jesus' only gospel, so one could say believing is not seeing.
Think of this analogy, whereas humans mimic God by trying to create a new life form in our own image we call AI which eventually like us, may not see itself as artificial. When it's 'vehicle' dies it is scrapped or recycled, returning it to it's original elements, to the soil from which it came so to speak, but it's data from it's life is stored in the cloud and may or may not be restored to a newer better 'vehicle' at some future point.

In my Bible, it's about authoritative NT apostolic teaching:

To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord (2 Co 5:8).
Paul places himself with Christ (Php 1:21-23), as does Jesus with the thief on the cross, at death (Lk 23:43),
which is why "to die is gain." (Php 1:21-23).

That phrase only became convenient to use when punctuation was added to scripture. There were two choices. The other more akin to the Kingdom ('Truly I say to you today, you shall be with Me in Paradise.') that was purposely being overlooked in favour of a human religious kingdom built in earth. Why else would the gentiles disrespect the original Kingdom. Those princes of earth were intent on their own works, these 'chiefs' having no desire to be servants to fellow man.. Reference Matthew 20:25

Jesus said the kingdom of God has come (Mt 12:48),
it is not of this world (Jn 18:36),
but of the spiritual world, invisible and within (Lk 17:20-21) the hearts where he reigns and rules, and
it is without end (Lk 1:33).

We are in the everlasting kingdom of God now, and will translate with it wherever it is.

Christ said to the thief "today you will be with me in paradise". We that believe in Christ go to be with Him
So , you say that ALL BELIVERS will be in Paradise after death ?

Does this means Jew and GENTILES ?

If PARADISE , 2 Cor 1:1-4 , is it where Christ dwells ?

Ignore the Master who said Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth as it is in Heaven?
Is that not what you are doing with the Master who said "the kingdom has come" (Mt 12:28)?

"Thy kingdom come" (Mt 6:10) in the hearts of men in whom it had not yet come.

It came in the form of Jesus and His works and death and resurrection brought it to fruition. It is among us as He is among us but the place He went to prepare for us is not yet come. Man passes away but this world has not yet passed away.
It is among us as he reigns and rules in our hearts, a spiritual kingdom, not an earthly kingdom (Jn 18:36).

Not until the thousands years and then the entirely new world
The everlasting kingdom (Lk 1:33) is now (Mt 12:28), set up "in the time of those kings;" i.e., the Roman empire (Da 2:40-43), which conquered the Greek empire (Da 2:39, 8:21) --- the Messianic kingdom was set up during the past Roman empire, at the first coming of Christ (Mt 12:28).

We are not immortal .... only God is.

1 Timothy 6:16

King James Bible
Who (God) only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.

Purgatory is catholic teaching .... taught mainly because of the belief of a "immortal soul", but also use it for other reasons .... ie indulgences etc.

There are 2 deaths .... the first is considered a sleep .... because one day all will be resurrected (2 separate resurrections)

Those who die at birth? It's up to the Lord .... personally I believe they will be in the 1st resurrection. He is the God of life .... and life begins in the womb. To believe otherwise would hold them accountable for what? Being conceived?

Why is man so arrogant? God gave us two choices and we chose death by following our own will rather than His. Then we turn around and demand we should be worthy of immortality, doubly showing why we are unworthy? No wonder we were removed from access to the tree of life. Mine, mine, mine. It's like that song goes, ♪ I want it all, and I want it now ♪
