  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I hope it's common. I lose my brain regularly too. Appointments are the worst. I can memorize my calendar the night before, recite it in the morning when I get up, and STILL forget to go to the hair salon by the time 10:30 rolls around!

I remember hearing about research showing that the way we organize and retrieve our memories goes through changes during our 30s - kind of like moving the "current events" memories into "long-term storage"...

...I hope I remembered it correctly...

I was thinking it may have to do with becoming a parent. I could remember stuff before then.:)

ll...if it makes you feel any better at least you aren't doing what I did when I was preg with my first son. I would literally "loose" entire blocks of time...ex: DH and I went out horseback riding, then to dinner (this was before I knew I was preg) and then we were at home later watching a movie when I asked dh if he was hungry and what did he want me to make for supper....I couldn't remember doing anything that day! This happend many times and the dr could never explain it but suddenly after the baby was born it stopped happening.

ROFL. I had a good one last night. I took 2 BC pills instead of one lol. The days are even printed on the pack. I took one early evening and freaked out thinking I hadn't taken it, and then took another one ROFL. So here we are it's Wednesday night and I have to take Thursdays pill.

I'm horrible for forgetting things. I'm constantly getting up to go get something and I forget before I get there and I have to go sit back down til I remember. I've also forgot to wash my hair before..it's seriously getting worse, like by the day it seems like. I think, for me, it's due to having A LOT of stress. I was working so much through the holidays, doing all the shopping, wrapping, making sure I had times set with Ben on when and where to pick up/drop off Emily, and getting times set with mom on when we were coming over. Although, the holidays are over now and I'm still doing it.
