Is it me, or do the regulars not want to fellowship with us anymore?

If I am to be honest I would say the regular SDA's who believe the ruth are just plain tired of arguing with people who want to argue against what SDA's believe.

Even more so when those bringing up the arguemnets claim to be SDA's.

Do you not think that you can learn something from those who disagree with you?

yeah, it did get unbearable in here. i havent posted for a long time. i got tired of being bashed. I totally agree with you 2Tim! I have been looking around at other boards also.

I get bashed by atheists most of the time when I post in the GA forum. Yet, that doesn't stop me from reaching out to them.

Moreover, I've also learned a few things from them. Be careful that you don't shut everyone out of your life that doesn't agree with you.

Much can be learned from those who disagree with us. We might learn that we were wrong about something, or we might learn how to better relate to such people, so as to improve on our witness!

I don't know if I'm a regular or not, but I do appologise for not being around these last few days. Been getting ready for The Appearing on 3ABN. We're hosting it in our church.

I'm so looking forward to it too Tim! The problem I foresee is that we have a two-year-old and there's no childcare offered at our church. We'll have to wait for someone to lend us the tape unfortunately.

I completely agree. However, it is nice to fellowship with people that have the same beliefs as well sometimes. There are times when debate is the furthest thing from your mind. There really isn't any need to put on the full suit of armor to go into a forum that has members that agreed to the same baptismal requirements that you did, ya know?

Unless it's just for the sake of arguing, yes.

But how does one determine such intentions, so as to say that a person is expressing his belief simply because he wants to argue, as opposed to someone sharing his ideas to enlighten others because God has led him to do so?

I am not afraid of learning anything from anyone. If you have intelligent, biblical proof, i have no problem. The problem i do have is with people's "I Thinks". Prove to me through scripture, or dont waste my time.

And arguing just because you can is foolish.

You must be a better person than I.

But saying that, i have no problem with speaking of different beliefs and having an intelligent and POLITE conversation. But when you go to an sda board, you expect a place that believes the way you do and a place to enjoy fellowship. That has not been the case here. I cant believe the arguing that goes on here amongst believer of the same faith. Its crazy. I expect better from fellow bretheren.

But this is what makes fellowship so interesting, when we don't all agree with each other; don't you agree?

If one would go to a place where he can find total agreement he would just have to sit by himself in a secluded room of some sort.

You will never find total agreement, even in your local church. But that doesn't stop you from going there does it?

So why not do the same here?

i have never disagreed with a fundamental belief with someone in my church. so i found it very alarmy in here where we are professed sda's and yet cannot agree.

That is a fair statement! I agree with if everyone agreed it would be boring. but i think the variance is, on scripture and we are all sda's we should agree on doctrine. but besides that, other topics us, lets bring a mixture of ideas! That is the spice of life, but when it comes to our basic theology, no, i think we all should be on the same page. :)

I think we should all be on the same page too; but we have to make sure it is the right page.
