I am very disturbed by something. The last time I came here I was told that I was an Apostate because I told a certain few to be more compassionate to Stormy.

But now, after reading several posts in this thread I get the impresssion that I am once again being looked upon as being anti-adventist.

Now, if you people feel this way about me I want you to say it right now.

I don't like all of this masked language. Just be honest and tell me what you think of me.

Were not allowed to tell you that we think your not Adventist.

I was thinking this because of my current debate with Cliff on the IJ.

Wooba, please don't take anything I've said personally. I'm seriously just talking about people that claim the Adventist name, took the baptismal vows of their own volition, yet do nothing but gripe about the doctrine they personally agreed to follow. Unless that applies to you then skip over what I've said.

The bible DISAGREE'S with your assumption Woo--looky here!!

2Co 13:11 Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.
You see here how PEACE follows those who are in ONE MIND???? Think about this for awhile. Do you think God is pleased with those who constantly sow the seeds of contention??

What are you trying to prove by using so many question marks? There is no need to lash out on me just because you can't handle diversity in thought.

How will you ever become an effective witness for Christ with such an attitude?

As I told you before when you called me an apostate the last time, you need to grow up.

I am not angry with you, but don't ever accuse someone of not following the Spirit simply because they don't agree with you. You may not be able to see this, but in essence that is what you are saying about me.

And you have no right to do that because you don't know my heart!

You have a lot to learn young lady!

You see, this is exactly what I'm talking about! You have no idea how immature this response makes you look, and you have no idea of how much damage it could cause to one's perception of the type of people that belong to our church.

It really is a shame!

Now wooba, let's be fair. I think the people flaming our church constantly do more damage than people that use a lot of punctuation. But again, that's just me...........don't take it personally.

That which does the most harm to our church is a poor attitude. There are just certain people that I can see are not acting according to the character of Christ in here.

I need not mention any names since it is quite obvious who they are.

You'd be surprised. Certainly you might not think it is a big deal that the last three pages or so of this thread has been ... well, anyway. Others react to things that you might not react to. If you are concerned about how you feel when others "attack" the church, how do you think others feel when it is perceived that you are attacking them? The church can withstand scrutiny. It has done that time and again.

When I'm attacked, I know it. Passive aggressiveness or coming right out and saying it, either way, I know when I'm being attacked. It's impossible not to perceive an attack as an attack.

Now again, I am asking you not to take anything personally. Sassy and I were merely discussing back and forth how difficult it must be for some people to be Adventist yet disagree with just about every Adventist doctrine. It's sad for them, it's not something to get mad about. I mean really, they must question their very existence if they hate the church they personally vowed to be a part of. At the very least I'm sure they feel like hypocrites, I know I would.

I'm sure there are people that grew up in churches that felt an obligation to stay in them even if they grew up to disagree with that church's teachings. Obligations to a church are silly....it's our obligations to God that are important. I pray for people that feel like they are stuck in something that they can't get out of. But as an adult I know for a fact that it is possible to leave a church, people do it all the time.

It takes a big person to walk away from something. That is a much bigger person than someone that wants people to share in their own misery.

Seriously wooba, I wasn't talking about you or anyone in particular. Like I said, my grief is with people that don't think they can walk away from a church that isn't tying them to the pew. If they hate what a church teaches they need to leave, for their own sanity and for the sanity of those around them.

I didn't force anyone in this forum to say their baptismal vows. If someone else did then they need to file charges with the police department, because I'm sure it's illegal.

It's more than question marks. It's about your attitude. You can be very aggressive at times.

Like I said, you are the one that called me an apostate last time because I said you should show more compassion towards stormy.

And then when I addressed you about the question marks which were meant to display your frustration with me. You did it again.

And then you also accused me of not following the Spirit.

So who is the problem here?

Mod hat on^

Thread full of flames. Closing for review.

Telling someone they are not SDA despite their statements that they are is tantamount to calling them a liar, is a flame, and will no longer be tolerated from this point forward. If you disagree with someone, answer their question or ignore them. If it is a rule breech, report them, then ignore the issue after that. These are the only options within th rules. Anything other than this will result in staff actions comissurate with protocol and the rules. Breaking the rules in response to a rule breech we haven't dealt with yet is no justification for your own rule breech.

This forum is for people that attend SDA churches. There are several different beliefs within the SDA church. If someone disagrees with you, it is not a rule breech.

Mod hat off^
