Our Christian walks are a constant relationship - filled with love, learning, growth and experiences. We grow each day in the Lord - some days faster than others. We study, pray, and develope as Christians.

I am asking where each of us is...in our walk. Not to dive into persoanl matters, but to appreciate each other in their walk - assist our brothers and sisters where needed. etc..

Where are you in your Prayer Life:
For me, I am currenltly desireing a relationship that defines all. I admidt to having days that are busy and full of strife - sometimes the last thing I want to do is pray - However, when I do pray - and I do pray, it feels as if I am talking to my best friend - and I am. Am I happy where I am in my Prayer life? I think I can always be closer. I would like to be so strong with my prayer times with my God, that prayer is the fisrt thing I do in the morning - prayer is the constant thing I do in the day, and the last thing I do at night.

Where are you in your Studying:
By this I mean reading the Word of God, challenging yourself to look into the deeper issues.
I've been thankful for being able to have a Bible, where in some countries there is not any. Studying in the past has helped to remove me from movements/doctrins that I fell into without knowledge. Studying also has helped me understand God's love for me. There are areas where I am still studying - different doctrinal issues and some non-essentials that the 'seeker' in me likes to study up on. I admit that I need to give more time to my study and reading. It is an awesome opportunity that I do not always take as seriously as I would like to.

Areas I wouldn't mind prayer for from my brothers and sisters in Christ:
That as I pray, I would seek him, that my mind would not drift.

That I would fall so in love with my Savior that butterflies would creep into my tummy - like they did when we first met.

That doctrinal issues I am still 'confused' about, would resolve themselves with study and the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

That is all for now - please share.

Am I where I want to be in my walk with God? Well, I can say I will be, and hopefully soon. Let me explain.

There was a time in my Christian life several years ago when I walked in God's presence every day. I woke up every morning with vitality, looking forward to the day. Everywhere I went, I felt God's mercy surrounding me and His joy filling my soul. Each night, I had an overwhelming sense of His peace as I drifted off to sleep. He was my best friend. If I had a problem, I'd just tell Him, and He'd either fix it or give me peace of mind about it. Even when circumstances were tough, I was able to smile and praise God.

But as time went by, I drifted away from Him. God never changed or forsook me. I left Him. I began to try to handle life on my own and thought I didn't really need Him that much. After a while, I found that I was really missing that overwhelming sense of joy and that close relationship with Christ that I once had. Anyone who has ever known a close walk with God knows that there is absolutely nothing that can compare to it.

Anyway, but about two months ago, I reached a point where I became sick and tired of my inconsistencies. I got sick of halfheartedly seeking God until I got tired of seeking Him and not until I found Him. I got tired of not loving Him more than anything or anyone. For the past two months, I have been praying with many, many tears that God will bring me back where I need to be. I have been weeping over the fact that I have not been close to Him, and I have been confessing that I am spiritually dead without Him. This thirsting for God is more intense than anything I have ever known. Glory to God, recently, I have been beginning to trust Jesus with my problems again. I have begun to have a song of praise in my heart and a smile on my face again. I am still not where I need to be, but I am seeing some changes.

If there are any other Christians out there who feel that you have gotten so far away from God that you can never get back to where you used to be, I am here to tell you that, in your own power, you cannot. But if you to pray to God, He will miraculously do a work in your heart that you cannot even imagine!!! Praise God for His goodness!!

"I'm pressing on the upward way,
New Heights I'm gaining every day,
Still praying as I'm onward bound,
Lord plant my feet on higher ground.

My heart has no desire to stay
Where doubts arise and fears dismay,
Though some may dwell where these abound,
my prayer, my aim is higher ground.

Lord lift me up and let me stand,
By faith on heaven's table land,
A higher plain that I have found,
Lord plant my feet on higher ground."
