I don't think we need millions and billions of years to accomadate the changes the earth has gone through.

It would if you went by the conditions on the day they observe the data. But that is not the way the real world is. This summer our flood levels went above the 100 year flood mark. It so happens that I had been observing a river in the valley right before the flood. So I went back after the flood. What I saw was that three feet of slate rock had been washed away. Now under normal conditions, maybe it would have taken thousands of years to wear away that much slate. But under flood conditions, it only took one week.

Well done you've demonstrated that slate can be worn away given particularly violent conditions such as a flood. However, many other processes do not operate in the same way ie the moving of continents, mountain upheaval, and keeping on your subject the erosion of rocks.

A high flood would have a negligible effect if it was flowing through a granite valley for example. That is something that truely does need millions/billions of years to erode away. Have you ever actually seen the diffeerence between different types of rock? Slate isnt the most hardy of rock types.....

How evolution is disturbing is beyond me. I guess people can't get over that we humans are not special. Oh, well. Some people have the mental stability to handle the truth about life, and others do not.

Those people you speak of; the ones with the mental stability - they sound special to me.

There are no transitional species becuase we would have killed them to preserve our hold on resources. It is very difficult, if not almost impossible for 2 species to live in the same area, in the same ecological niche.

For example, right now hyenas and lions are wiping out cheetahs in africa. It is expected that they will become extinct in the near future if something doesnt happen to change the situation soon.

While we have put a significant dent in the cheetah population ourselves, it is very likely that, if left alone in the wild, the cheetah will soon be no more.
