Liar. You didn't see my dinosaurs. Why do you insist they went extinct?JoeyArnold, yes I saw your dinosaur.

Is carbon dating reliable?I didn't insist they went extinct.
Is carbon dating reliable?
Because your photos are forgeries, hoaxes, and refuted cryptids.Liar. You didn't see my dinosaurs. Why do you insist they went extinct?
Yes, very much so. There are well-established and well-understood reasons for why radiocarbon dating works, as well as boundaries and situations where we know (and we know why) such a technique won't work. Study the reservoir effect for one such situation. Is carbon dating reliable?

Carbon dating doesn't always work.Radiocarbon dating works. Study the reservoir effect.
I know. As I said, there are well-understood situations when radiocarbon dating doesn't work. I've already mentioned the reservoir effect. We know it doesn't work for things older than about 50,000 years. More to the point, we also know in what situations it will work, and can corroborate this with any number of other techniques.Carbon dating doesn't always work.
How old are dinosaur bones? How do we date them?We know it doesn't work for things older than about 50,000 years.
Are dinosaur bones dated using radiometric dating?
Can you date a dinosaur bone that is older than 50,000 years? Here: Let me Google That for You (AGAIN)
Dinosaur bones can be dated using radiometric dating. While carbon decays too fast to be used to date dinosaur bones, there are other radioactive elements we can use to date them. Principally, we use Uranium 235, Uranium 238, and Potassium 40. These elements don't exist in the bones themselves, but rather are found in igneous rock. This rock sandwiches the sedimentary rock in which dinosaur bones are found in. Thus, we can date the igneous rock and work out the age of the bone's layer, and thus the bone itself. How old are dinosaur bones? How do we date them?
I'm becoming increasingly confused by the OP in this thread. So many questions, no real discussion. Is he trying to trick you guys into saying something "wrong" so he can declare a victory?
How do we know for sure that they're sandwiched? How reliable are Uranium 235, Uranium 238, and Potassium 40? How reliable are these things? This rock sandwiches the sedimentary rock in which dinosaur bones are found in.
'Sandwiched' just means 'there's two layers of igneous rock, and a fossil in between'. We know a fossil is sandwiched by simply looked at the rock above and below it.How do we know for sure that they're sandwiched?
Exceedingly reliable. How reliable are Uranium 235, Uranium 238, and Potassium 40? How reliable are these things?
I am much older, but enjoy goofing around on occasions.I'm 27, & you haven't even looked for my dinosaur, & yet you insist it went extinct.
