I think in the age of the American church becoming so "seeker friendly" to the point of churches focusing more on having the best worship team or espresso bar in the foyer than preaching the Gospel, it is easy to be extra sensitive regarding the subject of what roles the church should play. The church is us and we are the church. The building is simply where we meet.

I think a lot of us have forgotten that.
