well it goes something like this. although the Prophetic books of Daniel and Revelations are in the Holy Bible, I rarely hear any sermons or teachings from the Sunday, or Saturday pulpits. I hear more from Saturday pulpits but not so much from Sunday pulpits. SDA's are very good at teaching about the books of Daniel and Revelations but most Churches that gather on the first day don't really talk about those books.I agree. It is not really apparent what the exact question is.
Could you try to post your question again, maybe include scripture and examples.

Hi David, after understanding this post and informational replies, this is what comes to mind. Though it is TRUE it is Jesus who is the subject of Revelations, and the only book written with a Blessing to those who read it, I don't recall Yeshua focusing on future events (Book of Daniel and Revelations) to the degree He focused on other subjects. That being said, i have always been very interested in future predictions in Scripture, but there was a point when I became unbalanced in my time of studying Gods Word and was told very lovingly to focus on other topics, for now. What's the Church of Christ going to be like when they start preaching Revelations and Daniel and start telling its members where the world is at in relations to Revelations and Daniel? This is very true and part of what I was going to say also.I do not believe that it is intellectually, emotionally or even spiritually healthy to live our lives in constant expectation of the end times. We should live our lives optimistically with a view to making this world a better place not just today or tomorrow but into the far distant future.
John Hagee, Perry Stone, and several others are very much into the end times prophecies and do talk about them in church services. Here is a thread that is going in this forum right now. They are not SD.What's the Church of Christ going to be like when they start preaching Revelations and Daniel and start telling its members where the world is at in relations to Revelations and Daniel? wow! .. I never associated being Biblically Christian and correct as a reason why political powers would become more unruly and the reason why non-believers would become more vociferous. I guess the longer we stay, kinda mute, on this end time matter, the longer the Earth will endure?Hi Dave,
If and when the Christian Church "wakes up" to the historical and future state of affairs described in the books of Daniel and Revelation, and if and when it decides to boldly preach what no one has preached before (pun intended), then it will probably get much more politically ugly than it already has begun to be. And what do I mean by ugly? I mean that Christians will probably find their rights being severely curtailed, and that the non-christian populace will become more bold and vociferous in its denunciation of Christian faith, in line with its present denunciation of other forms of Western Religious practice. We're almost there ...
This is the opinion I have recently arrived at; and during the last year, it is one that in my mind has also transformed from being merely hypothetical to one that is evident. Of course, I could still be wrong, maybe even deluded, even benighted. But, with what I see taking place in the world, in comparison to the two thousand years of history that has thus far gone by, we are definitely in a "new age," one that exhibits qualities of prophetic potentiality that could not have been realized in centuries previous to the 20th and 21st.
So, everyone, let's begin to fully repent of our sins (as I'm finding that I am seriously having to do), and buckle your seat belts. The devil and his anti-christ(s) are real, and it may be a bumpy ride.
But, just remember, if the devil is real, then so is God and His Christ! And we stand before Him ...
Peace

each individual church follows a 'lectionary?'Most churches follow a lectionary. The Western lectionary follows a three year reading cycle and the Eastern lectionary follows a one year reading cycle. So Scripture readings aren't chosen arbitrarily.
I assume that you are of the opinion that the book of Daniel and the Revelation are about the "end times", that's not necessarily how most Christians understand these books; and most churches aren't particularly interested in preaching about "end times", but instead focus on preaching Jesus Christ and His Gospel.

And yes, the more mute we are, the longer it might be before Christ comes again, since God delays so as to give the world maximal time to come to its senses.I guess the longer we stay, kinda mute, on this end time matter, the longer the Earth will endure?

Wow! You know for certain that God delays and even the reason why.
