That is fine for school districts that can afford to hire armed guards. But if you have been watching the news this past month you must know that there are schools that can't even afford school supplies, current textbooks, and teacher's pay.So you have a few armed teachers in a school. How is that different than guards? I'd say the difference is that the guards could focus on guarding and the teachers could focus on teaching. What an idea!
The parents got a letter? The parents should have been called right away. They should have been there and involved immediately. When the school and police do the job a parent is responsible for it let's the parents off the hook. When the parent has to leave their job to show up at the school they are more likely to take their child's behave seriously.maybe, also kids who make threats at school (as often happens before incidents) need to be treated seriously
a young kid at our elementary school making threats was reported by some kids

Of course I’m talking about doing it legally. The vast majority of drivers do it legally.You mean to drive a car LEGALLY. There are people who drive cars EVERY DAY that have no business doing so and really unless they otherwise break a law ( or go through a checkpoint which is rare in most cases people never know.

I don't know what the solution is. Seriously. I don't give jack about politics. But I do care about how Christians now tend to idolize guns. For every 100 people, there are 88 guns within the United States. (Mccarthy, Beckett, & Glenza, 2017) It is estimated there are about 265 million guns in U.S. citizen hands. These numbers might seem outlandish, but this is largely because roughly half of these guns are owned by a mere 3 percent of the population.

I'm not gonna be debating God and his role in the evil of this world or whatever. What I am going to say is something that needs to be said.

The last thing we need to offer are just "thoughts and prayers." Thoughts and prayers are not enough anymore. God hates gun violence. Period. And so should we.
How many school shootings is it going to take for the church to wake up to the fact that there are truly evil people in this world? That Satan has made it clear he is not going to play fair? Does it have to go so far as to seeing their own children murdered? I'm all for the second amendment, but is it worth defending at the cost of these kids lives?
Bottomline, this is all outrageous and disgusting. All of us, liberals, conservatives, Christians, Atheists, whatever! We all need to start sending demands our police and politicians and gun manufacturers, "DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS!"
Yup and often times that is where they get much if not all of their meat. Many of them also grow their own food, but that has nothing to do with this thread.It is still the case in rural America that a lot of poor people hunt for food.
