When do you write?

I'm interested to know about what times of the day people choose to write - when do you feel most inspired? I'm planning a novel, and find that my imagination, and my typing fingers, tend to go a mile a minute whenever I sit up writing late at night. This isn't too pratical, though - I have to work and/or study in the day and I love my sleep!

I've heard of writers who say they do their best writing first thing in the morning, before they do anything else. I'm thinking of giving that a try, although I know I usually can't do anything until I've eaten and had some sort of caffeinated beverage.

So, when are your best times for scribbling?

like you, I write very good late at night, but I also write at other times.

My most inspiring time to write is around 3 am. I usualy can't sleep or wake up with an idea.

I always wake up in the middle of the night and have all these ideas running through my head so I write them all down and then after that I can fall asleep again!

I keep a notebook beside my bed for such ideas, but when I wake up and read them in the morning they somehow don't sound as good as when I wrote them . . .
I like to write while listening to the radio.

hehe were a lot a like, I donna have a nnotebook so I have loose paper under my bed and a pen... and writing while listening to the radio... I wrote several plays from things I heard on the radio!

I write whenever I feel it comin on....usually if I am really sad or angry. I usually find a paper and pen where I am...even if it is a table napkin. Sometimes I just jot ideas or thoughts and then put them together later. My poetry, stories and drawings are a part of my inner self. My feelings and thoughts that no one knows about and I can't just make them come out...they just come out on their own.
