I know how you feel. At the moment I am 11 weeks, I am a big girl (20kg overweight) and I'm technically not showing, but I need bigger clothes too. So yeah, you could always go to op shops and try and get a hold of some stuff. Also, don't forget that you don't lose the baby belly straight after baby is born (I never got rid of mine entirely and my son is now 3) so those clothes you may need now, you may also need later on. But just get enough to see you through, don't go overboard.

I am lucky that I sew, and it is summer here. I have a few cute shift dresses (sleeveless dresses which kind of just hang and tie at the back so it doesn't look completely like a tent lol) I made one in around 2 hours the other day, and it cost me around $2.50 to make.

Well I am fat, I weighed 270lbs when I got preganant and when I was approx. 3 months preg. I was showing.
Everyone's body is different and it does not matter whether one woman is fat or bigger than the next, we all show at different times.
So by saying when someone is fat, overweight or bigger they wont show so soon, or the opposite as well, keep in mind, we are all different and the size of our woumbs and abdomens are also different, some of us have more room inside for the extra growing and developing fetus and the fluid that comes along with it, some of us, like me, do not have room in our bodies for all that extra stuff and the only way to grow, is out.
So mstodd919 you are fine, no need to worry, you are normal and perfectly fine. I also couldn't wait to wear maternity clothes and show for real, but it will happen at the right time for you and your body, just enjoy every minute of everything that you are experiancing.
I wish you the very best of luck and a wonderful Christmas and blessed new year!

I never understood the need for people to remind pregnant women that they are getting big. I was pregnant with twins and looked full term by four months. People loved to tell me how huge I was! Enjoy your pregnancy and don't let the devil take your joy. God loves you and will carry you through.

I really think there is something beautiful about the pregnant body (apart from all the nausea and now I have heamorroids  ) but I can't wait until I am around 7mths, because that is the time when I felt pretty good with my first baby. Hoping it's going to be the same this time around. It was just so nice, and I found people were so nice to me, like if I was out somewhere and needed to go to the bathroom, sometimes I was offered the staff bathroom, because it was cleaner.

I have a pair of maternity jeans and a pair of maternity overalls. I got sick of wearing sweats and pajama pants all the time (at not yet nine weeks nothing fits already) so I put on my overalls this morning. An insensitive co-worker said something but I'm not too worried if any one else does. I'll just explain that my old clothes are too small and this is what fits. Frankly if anyone has a problem I'll politely ask them to bite my ever growing butt!

LOL. I'm 11 weeks and at that kind of in between stage too. My clothes don't fit but maternity gear is still too big. Not a fun place to be.

I don't think I am really showing right now...maybe a little bump..not much..but, I was around 150-155 pds when I got pregnant..so I was a little chunky to begin with..so I get people rubbing my fat too..mainly my mom...and I am like that was there before. I dont know I'm not a big belly patter fan to begin with..I find it kind of creepy. About after like a month and half...I started wearing my PJ bottoms and maternity clothes..I just wanna fell comfortable...cause I am already uncomfortable with the heartburn, nausea, mood swings, rashes, and this line of hair growing straight down my tummy:) But, I see woman that are showing..and wonder..am I ever gonna look like that...for the first time..I wanna see my tummy poke out and just be out there:) I guess right now I just feel fat...strange what all goes on with your body and mind during pregnancy..aw...the joys of pregnancy...wouldnt trade this experience for nothing in the world...even the bad experiences:) Like I put in another post, it was an experience that just a couple of months ago thought I would never get in my life....so rest assure your normal..no pregnancy is the same...but, as you stated in your first post..I worry about not having a heartbeat everytime I go to the OBGYN too!! I guess its mommy instincts kicking in:)

I had a nice tight belly and didn't begin to show (and only I could tell then) until 19 weeks. At about 22-23 weeks other people were only just beginning to tell... like someone else said, depending on the clothes I wear.

26 weeks yesterday and my belly is showing for real now! I'm actually excited about it. I think my belly is wonderful, I've hated everything else about pregnancy... but my belly makes me feel very feminine.
