When did this happen?

I don't get into the word games myself. There's really only a couple of threads in GE50 that I do get into. However, if you've got something on your mind and want to start a thread about it I imagine you'd get some good feedback.

One crucial don't: Don't go into GE50 charging that they play too many games and don't have enough serious threads. That's been tried and it came to a bad end. Justifiably so, in my opinion. Just start your thread on the serious subject you want to discuss and things will go much easier.

I think I DID do that awhile back and did not get much feedback so I gave up. I also MAY have commented that they play too many games (after the fact). But you can ask dayhiker, no one seems to want to talk about anything I start a thread on, that's why I'm not doing it anymore. I'll get alot of views but not that many posts and it's so discouraging, why bother? I'll just comment on the few threads we manage to keep trickling along here lol.

I can count all the threads I've started since 2000 anywhere without having to take off my shoes. Never did get a lot of feedback, some threads got locked (one of which I knew when I started it that it was going to get locked) but if something is on my mind I just might start another one.

We've got a couple of posters on CF that can't seem to get through a day without starting five new threads. I wonder how they come up with all that stuff.

Well for me, I'm always baffled that hundreds of people will post on a thread like "Whats you're favorite color?" but not to something of more substance, but that's just me. I've always been a deep thinker (God made me) very analytical, and I don't like to argue but I do like to understand, and I CAN accept that others think differently without attacking them.

I remember how surprised I was when it finally dawned on me that most people weren't interested in my profound thoughts. But as I came to understand the diversity that God created us with, only then could I start to look at others with appreciation. But of course those who love to sit and knit still had not inkling of how interesting the thoughts I wanted to share with them where. So its never gone both ways.
