When did the First Anime/Manga Come About?

Manga has its roots in historic japan. They have, for ages, kept their stories and such in story-telling scrolls of pictures that told the stories.
It didn't start coming around in the form it is today until after WWII, if I remember correctly.

wasnt that weird giant robo anime the first one on tv? well i know that the cyborg 009 came out in the 60s and it got an award (60s i think...)

i do not remember the date, but the very first manga was created way back in AD i will post up the manga and person who made it when i can...the most reconized first anime was the white dragon.
