That isn't relevant. To say man is created in the image of God is a theological statement, not a scientific one.

Well.....this is a Christian forum.

Man is an animal created in the image of God. These aren't mutually exclusive.

"Animal" is simply a term to denigrate mankind.

Saying we are made in God's image doesn't change the fact that we are animals, hominid apes descended from hominid apes ultimately from non-hominid apes--apes which are placential mammals, mammals which are therapsids, therapsids which are amniotes, amniotes which are tetrapods, tetrapods which are vertebrates, vertebrates which are, you guessed it, animals.

Made in God's image makes us very different from the other of God's creation.

Then I could say that the theory of evolution requires as much faith as the concepts of germs causing disease and matter being made up of atoms.

Thanks.

Sure you could. If they're theories, yes there's faith, and in essence if "belief", a "religion" of sorts.

We can have whatever "belief" and "religion" we wish.

Then what are the supernatural forces at work during DNA replication?
Again, you are looking at the process and the existence of it after the fact. I am discussing the lack of natural processes by a chance event giving rise to it.

How did you determine that there is a lack of natural processes that could produce a naturally occurring polymerase?

Hey Brinny, why do you keep putting all the important words in scare quotes? Is it because you don't really want to stand by your arguments?

Agreed.

Interesting! I like it.

But I would not call early man sons of God. Sons of God is a term reserved for those from God's chosen people following the line of Adam, Seth, Noah, Shem, and on down the line to Jesus. All other men would be referred to as simply 'men', as illustrated in Genesis 6:1. There is no description of ape men at all in the Bible. I believe God made many adams (men) but only one special chosen Adam to inhabit the Garden of Eden.

ADM is plural. That is Hebrew for Adam. It means ruddy. There is every indication in the original language to believe there were many men made, but only ONE Adam worthy of being in God's garden.

The sons of God (line of Seth/Shem) bred with the daughters of men (Cain's line) and God became displeased. That is when God destroyed all the line of Cain effectually and began again with only Noah and his descendants.

I just noticed something in my review which is exciting. Genesis 6:4 :

The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God (those from the line of Seth) came in to the daughters of men (those from the line of Cain), and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown.

RENOWN is what the name Shem means. Shem is the chosen son of Noah, which Japheth and Ham are to serve. From Shem's line comes Jesus. Shem means 'the name'. It also is used to mean 'there'. The usage of the word 'old' supports your theory that God's human came before all other men. But to finish the story, we see that even with half of the genes of these people being God's chosen ones, it was not enough to prevent them from becoming evil through and through. (this is the topic for another thread).

However, the fossil record appears to support an older ape like man vs a modern human like man. How do you reconcile this?

Agreed.

Thanks for giving me a boost in my spiritual understanding!

The reason I call prehistoric people the sons of God is because they were Flesh and bones, just like Humans. Some people teach that the sons of God were Fallen Angels but Angels cannot have sex and are held in chains under the darkness. Here is the chronology:

Adam, the first Human, was made the 3rd Day. Gen 2:4-7
Every other living creature (including the sons of God) was made the 5th Day. Gen 1:21
Eve was made on the present 6th Day. Gen 2:22
BOTH Adam and Eve were "created in God's Image" or born again Spiritually in Christ at the SAME time AFTER Cain killed Abel. Gen 5:1-2 Amen?

The sons of God were INNOCENT because they did not have the intelligence which Adam was made with, which is like God's intelligence. Gen 3:22 The New Testament refers to Spiritually alive Christians as the sons of God. I believe it's because when one is born again Spiritually in Christ, he's considered INNOCENT, like the sons of God were, not because they were innocent but because of the Sacrifice of Jesus.

That's a good point about Shem, a grandson of Noah, the brother of Cush, who fathered Nimrod, the builder of Babel. Gen 10:10 God Bless you

Because the are used to assemble DNA and RNA molecules, respectively, by copying a DNA or RNA template strand using base-pairing interactions.

Now you are looking at the end product. Why would the ancestors of modern polymerases need DNA template? Why couldn't they use something else, like RNA template or even PNA template?

Your caution re: them and their gross incompetence is noted.

I agree.

Based on your limitations of course.

But certainly, reduce your potential stress and stay away from doctors and hospitals, if it causes such concern to you personally.

Incorporating your faith based religious views would be using faith. By excluding claims that don't have evidence they are removing faith from science.

False, since the ToE is easily proven wrong. It takes FAITH to believe in the biggest lie ever force taught to innocent children in the public schools. Getting those who have been brainwashed since they were children to REJECT such a Satanic Lie is another matter. I support what I post with the AGREEMENT of Scripture, Science and History. That is something which is impossible with the False ToE. Want to try?

A RNA polymerase needs DNA to sequence to an RNA sequence for starters. Peptide Nucleic Acids giving rise to DNA in what way? Explain?

Randomly assembled RNA sequences have enzymatic activity.

"Seven families of RNA ligases, previously isolated from random RNA sequences, fall into three classes on the basis of secondary structure and regiospecificity of ligation."

You are saying that they can't. I was wondering how you determined that.
