CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Off the top of my head, it was from about 150 million down to 60 million, and, as for their demise, the leading theory is an meteor impact in the Yucatan.

Gennisis 1:2 in the originall translation says that the earth BECAME void and without shape so the cause of it is probbably the 'asteriod', or what i think was satan being cast into earth

But the asteroid did not make the world void or without shape, it just created a tougher living environment.
The other competing theory with the asteroid is large volcanic erruption, or for all we know, it could be both.

Because many animals survived through the impact. For many, including us, the impact was a very good thing as it allowed for a new set of dominant animals to appear.
Some animals though have remained practically unchanged since long before the impact, take the crocidile for example, they are practically the same as they were before the impact.

Evidence does not disprove the bible, only certain human interpretations of the bible. ( a very important thing to remember)

No offence taken. As Arikay said, no evidence currently available can disprove the Bible. However, a literal genesis can be disproven. Bear in mind that genesis does not have to be taken literally, but can be thought of as an instructive tale, like the parables.
