They were a good cross section of the community. Entertainers, public servents, businessmen, students.
They are dead now. I do not get to enjoy their company anymore. I am depressed enough today with out thinking about them. Sometimes I feel like the dead are the luck ones.

I am truly sorry for your loss.

My point was simply that not all, or even most, gay people come to an untimely end as a result of disease.

If Nate's mother tries to push him out of the family, that is a family concern and it's very prudent to try to defuse the situation BEFORE the reunion actually starts (just thinking about the possible dualing toasts makes we want to slip out the metaphorical service-door).

Speaking generally, there is still a portion of people in this world that don't equate having a boyfriend/girlfriend as being mandatory sex. Perhaps a small portion, but it is still there.

I suppose Nate could clear that issue up for inquiring minds as how it might apply or not... for those wanting to know.

uh... my mom is a "good Christian girl." Alan has been "courting" her for about 16 years. He's been like a father to my 3 brothers and me... I know that mom & Alan love each other, but I'm not sure why they're not married. (I think it's because my mom has had two bad marriages.)

I forwarded my mother's email to her boyfriend and he responded:

"I love you. See you at the reunion. Alan"

He's an awesome guy.

I was just pointing out that the marriage nothingbuttheblood was saying that Nate was monkeying with did not in fact exist. It was funny that he was working under the assumption that she was married, so much so that when he quoted a post that said "boyfriend" he read "husband".

Also, Nate has not said in this thread that he is sexually active. If you haven't been giving him the benefit of the doubt of falling into that small portion, perhaps you should.

Hmm... I don't believe I have assumed anyone's unspoken activities. IIRC, I have been discussing things said or improper things being advocated.

I'm not sure why some people, especially in debate forum, would want to make mention of their sex life.

I'm sure no one cares if/when/how I get physical with my husband. I wouldn't even bring it up. TMI, as it were.
