From my experience (seeing other people get hooked and married), it seems to generally happen that you end up loving/marrying/God "sets you up" with someone that didn't meet what you were looking for. Different interests, different ... different whatevers. Hehe. Techie people with totally non-techie people, for instance.

I'd hate to see someone rule out who God actually wanted because they really wanted a spouse with blue eyes and were convinced they wouldn't be happy with a brown-eyed one.
