I think this sums it up:
Find a guy who calls you beautiful instead of hot,
who calls you back when you hang up on him,
who will stay awake just to watch you sleep.
Wait for the boy who kisses your forhead,
who wants to show you off to the world
when you are in your sweats,
who holds your hand in front of his friends,
who thinks you're just as pretty without makeup on.
Wait for the one who is constantly reminding you
of how much he cares about you
and how lucky he is to have you.
Wait for the one who turns to his friends and says, "...that's her."
Quoting For Great Truth! ESPECIALLY for the first one. 'Hot' is not a compliment. 'Hot' is something you play with till it gets cold, 'beautiful' is something you protect and cherish.
Anyways, what I'm looking for in a partner:
She's gotta be a fighter, willing to put her faith into action and stand beside me when we're surrounded by enemies. BeetleQueenDiva, I like what you said: "I get very angry when I see injustice being done" That's a good, Godly quality
She has to put up with my Chivalry; Ladies, I know you can open your own doors, but I consider it a gesture of respect: In every girl there's a princess wanting to get out and although they're quite capable, princesses don't have to open their own doors
I'd like her to to think, to debate, and to argue obscure theological points. I don't mind if she's smarter than me! Iron sharpens iron, and I love a good debate even if I loose.
I don't belong to me. I've given my heart to God and He gave it back to me to use for a while. She needs to understand that although I love her with all of that heart, I cannot be her's alone because I belong to God. I expect her to love God more than me too, because I couldn't stand knowing that she loved me more than the One that gave us our love.
Out of all of those, only the last one really matters. The other's would be nice though.
