What's your reasoning behind your "singleness"?

I look at being single by knowing God probably doesn't want me to get married for many, many reasons and I will understand one day but God has his reasons and if He doesn't want you to get married much less have a boyfriend/girlfriend, submit to his will and his way because whatever God says goes and rules no matter if we like it or not.

I'm single by choice, ughhh. The day I broke up with my last serious boyfriend was one of the happiest of my life. Now everytime a guy takes an interest I feel like saying "I'm doing fine here. Why are you trying to complicate my life?!" Some of them are perfectly nice, but it doesn't sway me. I honestly can't see the appeal of going out for a drink with someone and then having them clinging to me and stifling me, when I could be with my friends or at home with my nose in a book. A relationship at this point is unimaginable. I love my life this way.

Honestly I would go out with either Barbie or Zena. If your fun and a happy person with right walk. That's what I am look for. Perhaps we should start another thread about the high maintance persons that we all at one time or another have met. I am sure they are out there.

That is the one thing I will try harsest to do when I'm married. I LOVE to travel and I know some married couples and families are able to fit traveling into their lives. I hope I will. I come from a family of ten and my parents are always really good about traveling every month to get away. It's gotten easier in the past year since they bought a motor home.

When I am down on myself (which I believe is the enemy's way of getting to us) I open the bookmarked page in my Bible and read Psalm 139. It really helps me.

My answer to the question of this thread is; I dont believe it's time for me to be in a relationship, I think God is working on me. I have mental and emotional healing to do. I lost my husband to alcoholism 3 years ago and I am very scared of getting hurt again. I know that I need to heal from my loss and gain courage and strength. I am trusting God on this. I only want to do His will. I know that I will never be truly happy unless I'm doing God's will. It's all in His hands...my life, my everything. I have much peace in my heart though...because I know The Lord is with me and helping me along my path. I've learned that when I take my eyes off the Lord, is when I get into emotional trouble. I need to trust HIM. God bless you all.

If God wants me to be married that is his will and not mine but need to lean toward his leaning and his will. God will help me whether I am single and/or married.

to be very honest...I am fat. Men don't like fat women and I am having a very hard time losing weight. That and I live in a small town, but I'm not going to be kidding myself any more...it's cuz I'm fat. But! I am lovable

Hey Vrunca! I'm short and fat!! whooo hooo! I also live in a small, dying town. I know God isn't ready for me to be re-married yet and I'm totally cool with that...it would just be nice to know that the whole world doesn't think I'm the ugliest girl alive cuz to be totally honest...if I could meet everyone in the entire world that would be the unanimous opinion.
