I just got a PM from a member here on the singles forum requesting that I change my avatar picture to something "less mushy."


So I've decided to ask the general population here on CF, what your opinion is about my avatar.

That's what I thought. It's just a picture of Kirk and I. It's not like we're making out or anything.

I think some people are a little oversensitive to certain things around here...it shouldn't make you actually unhappy that other people are getting together. If it does, I think you have some issues that need to be worked out. Alright, sometimes I get mad that so many other people have found happiness with someone and I haven't, but I know that's not the right attitude and anyway deep down I'm happy for them too even when I get mad.

I can understand if you were making out or sharing a little kiss or something. THAT'D be mushy. But cheek to cheek? People do that with even siblings and friends. There's nothing too mushy about that. And even if there was, that's one thing that I WON'T tell people to get rid of. I voted that it's cute. *shrug*

it's happened to me too. Not for excessive moosh, but apparently it reminded someone of something they saw on TV about 30 years ago so they asked me to change it.

It's been various Homers ever since.

Keri's Av, please, that's not mooshy at all and it's certainly not offensive, there's no reason fer her to change it.

Me three. But to be fair, that version of my avatar was a failed attempt to "take back the pentagram".

agreed. I met a girl at a bar tonight, she hugged me like six times and kissed me three (cheek) I don't even think THAT'S mooshy.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks it's perfectly appropriate as an avatar.

I don't know...I think something with flames and skulls would be more appropriate. Like a flaming skull and crossbones with a snake coming out of the skulls mouth. That would definitely be better. Are you serious, somebody was actually offended by that? Why? That is not even mildly offensive, like not even to like Victorian ideas of morality is that offensive. But I do think the skull thing would be cooler

I usually don't share PM's in public, but I kept the author anonymous and this was so far out that I had to ask others as to their opinion.

You know, there is an option to not show avatars, signatures, pets, etc in user CP if those things bother people.
