Years ago when I lived in San Diego my friends and I would go to Mission Beach and watch both radio controlled boats and planes. You are right it is expensive. We decided to join in the fun, but gave it up after the first trip to the hobby store. The basic planes and boats were expensive. :swoon:

I am a packrat so my husband would probably slap his forehead or something if I started yet another collection.

Life is better when you're flying upside down.

Yeah, I've slowly started getting smaller and smaller RC's. Now I'm building ones that are made of 3mm thick foam that costs less than $0.01 a square foot! haha But as if I'm not sick enough, the $180/hour cost of flying the real thing more than makes up int he money saved with the RC planes. lol No win I guess.

I'm cursed with a passion for really expensive hobbies....

competition aerobatic flying
radio controlled airplanes/helicopters/trucks
photography
I thought the first 2 lines were together; Comp aerobatic flying radio controlled airplanes.
Real flying is expensive.

I wanted to try the corrigated plastic planes, but there is none around me.
But now, I have two tween duaghters and a horse.
So I don't have enough money or time to try to get into RC planes. (I have flown and crashed 4 r/c planes.) While in the military.

I love writing; its something that I am passionate about. It's great and I thoroughly enjoy it. I write about whatever is on my mind.

I keep a daily journal of my thoughts and it is interesting to flip back a few months or years to see how my thoughts and ideas have changed.

Eric :)

collecting collections (such as butterflies, seashells, rocks and minerals, and snowglobes), drawing, writing, painting, origami, playing trumpet, grid embroidery, and many many more things... is what i seem to do as hobbies. I get into these different moods. each one lasts for maybe two weeks or so. I feel like i have to do this thing (like draw) and for the next couple weeks i do two or three drawings a day. After that, a different mood hits me and so on.... right now i'm into the butterfly hunting deal. makes sense since it is august, and they are all out, waiting... they are SO beautiful!!!
